I made my own natural deodorant for years and thought I would try Routine for a change. It is just as effective! No stinging or burning (because I never put it on immediately after shaving). The subtle scent lasts and lasts without being overpowering. My underarms are dry, smooth and clean smelling until I shower again (usually every three days) and I never reapply because it works that well! Remember, when you switch to a natural deodorant, your armpits have to go through a detox which may make them seem worse for a few days. But for the health gains and natural ingredients, totally worthwhile. I don't understand the negative reviews, at all, but everyone has unique chemistry.     • Perfect replacement for standard deodorants.

For years I have been using the standard stick style solid deodorants that although effective they were not entirely healthy and did cause occasional side effects like clogged pores and rashes. I tried many organic and natural products most all of which just led me down the opposite path to failure. Some of these products either just did not work or had horrible side effects much worse than the standard stick style deodorants. Eventually I ended up trying the Routine product and there I found something that worked and did not cause any skin irritation. This product does take some getting used to. It is a dark colored cream and requires one to be exacting in its application to the skin. It is a bit messy but with some practice one gets used to the application method. I use this product on various other places on my body and it has a really nice masculine scent (Superstar) to it. It lasts several hours and gets me through most days with just a single application. I find a nice balance to this product and it has become my new standard in my daily personal hygiene. It is a bit pricey but one jar will last me several months. I am very picky and particular about any product that touches my sensitive skin so I am quite happy to report this one is a keeper! ... show more

I’ve tested them all and this is by far the most effective deodorant I’ve used. The superstar scent is my favorite. As a person who doesn’t subscribe to the gendered marketing of products, the scent is truly universal and would smell amazing on anyone. Most importantly, it lasts throughout the day.     • FIVE MONTHS LATER...this jar is 1/2 full. (And I need really strong deodorant!)

Ok, so I was really uninterested in spending a million dollars on deodorant, but after trying a tiny sample from a local store, I decided to make the "investment". Holy crap, people, am I glad I did. First off, this smells incredible. I'm a single mom, and my girlfriends and I joke that any time I feel lonely, I just put some of this on and am the happiest camper in the world. Second, it actually works. I wasted a lot of money on every kind of natural deodorant I could find, and they either didn't work for more than a couple of hours, felt "soapy" (one of them literally lathered on my armpit hair...shudder), or gave me horrible rashes. My skin isn't even that sensitive, but the ingredients in others literally gave me allergic reactions. Some of them actually bleached my armpit hair, no joke. Routine does non of this. And I really love how soft it feels after applying. Third, it has lasted me forever. I went to use it this morning, and wondered how long it's been since I purchased. Lo and behold, I ordered this FIVE months ago. Five. What?! I go through normal deodorant really quickly; pregnancy hormones threw me off, as has my IUD. I don't need to use more than a small swipe for each pit, and it lasts all day. If I'm super active, I might reapply it once during that day. (I also wash my armpits with an incredible natural tea tree wash by Purely Northwest that is specifically for armpits, feet and skin irritation; initially I purchased it to help with mosquito bites last summer, and realized it's kind of magic. Between the two of these,I only need to apply deodorant maybe once every other day at most. THIS WAS NEVER THE CASE, PEOPLE.) A girlfriend of mine tried this brand in two different scents / formulas, and hated them. She went through both in a month each; I'm not sure how that happened, and can't speak to any of them besides Superstar and Moon Sisters. I know hers were heavy on citrus, and we both sweat the same amount and need the same strength of deodorant. All that to say in my personal experience, I absolutely love this product, and will continue to use it. The price point is way worth it, and I really love taking care of my body without using weird chemicals or smelling like an old goat. I got the rockstar scent and while this deodorant lasted practically all day walking around in 90°F+ weather, I actually had a pimple develop under my arm after using this, which I’ve never had before and nothing else changed. I think this is due to the consistency, which is also probably why this works so well despite being naturally sourced. I tried their wooden applicator and honestly it scraped my underarm a little and was still difficult to clean. So after a week of using the applicator, I decided my fingers worked better. Overall, I liked the scent mostly, just wish there was a scratch and sniff sampler of the scents or something cause I feel like I might have chosen something different, but you have to spend a lot of dough to find out since it’s online only. I like that it’s ingredients are clean and I still smell fresh at the end of the day. ... show more
