    • Total Game Changer! Love These...
I have several guitars of various makes and models and styles. I decided I wanted a classical, so I bought a Cordoba Luthier Series C-10 Classical guitar. The guitar arrived in good condition and sounded very nice. However, this was short lived. Not even 2 weeks later the guitar was in its stand and I heard a 'pop!'. The low E string had unraveled just above the bridge. I figured that maybe the guitar had been shipped with old strings on it. I'm new to classical guitars, so I was somewhat shocked at how primitive the method of restringing was...tying a knot and then adding significant tension on an expensive guitar seems strange to me. But you do what you have to do I guess. I bought some new strings and looked at YT videos on changing strings, and while the process still seemed archaic, I was able to accomplish it. But 3 weeks later and "Pop!" the E string unraveled again. I'm guessing that there's some sort of small burr or rough spot in the bridge which is slowly cutting the string. Considering the price of the guitar, I was pretty disappointed to say the least. That's when I found the Rosette Diamond Secure Classical Guitar String Ties on Amazon. A few of the reviews I've read complain that you still have to tie the strings...which is sorta true. However, you don't have tie the string over the bridge anymore (which is a clumsy endeavor, for me at least). This is like adding a Ball End (the end of an acoustic guitar string which keeps the string from slipping through the bridge). You tie the strings to the String Ties, run the other end of the string through the bridge, and tie them to the tuning pegs. That's it. These make changing strings WAY WAY WAY faster and easier. I haven't experienced any string slippage (make sure you double knot the high E). Plus no more scraping the crap out of the face of the bridge by tying strings the old way. Basically, these allow you to string your classical just like you do with your acoustics. As for the unraveling E string I was experiencing, it's been 6-8 months since I bought these and I haven't had a single issue. The ease of stringing your classical guitar makes these a no brainer even if you don't have the unraveling problem that I did. My only knock on them is that for what they really are, they're a bit pricy. But not obscenely so. I wold definitely recommend these. ... show more

    • Cheap plastic stuff but it works
I was kind of hoping they’d be a little nicer but the plastic feels really cheap. It works as stated. I was just hoping it would be a little higher quality. I imagine it costs only a few cents to produce these so for about 15 bucks I don’t think it’s a deal. I like the concept and I will probably keep using bridge beads for my classicals but it’s a little “cheap”. ... show more

I am always building oddball instruments. I have used these rosette string ties for situations where the tailpiece design did not allow for tying nylon strings the normal way. They have different models. Some are wider, and some are narrower. Depending on what you need them to fit you may prefer one or the other for a specific project. ... show more

Now changing my strings is much less a chore. They also take most of the string off the bridge, which makes the sound better. Wish I had found these years ago

    • Nice accsessory, production needs improvement
I love the concept of these. I bought this to replace a different and larger set by a different company. These are very minimal which I like, and blends nicely next to an ebony bridge. The production is a bit lacking. The material feels a bit coarse/unfinished like a 3D printing material. Two of the beads had blocked holes that I had to dig open with a needle. Once that was fixed, installation was an easy to setup. They included a spare bead, so 7 total we're in the package. As long as they hold up over a year, then I'd recommend them. ... show more

The string holes on the bridge of my 1965 Jose Ramirez have grown huge due to decades of string abrasion. I had to stop using traditional string ties in order to preserve the last few millimeters of rosewood! I’ve used jade, bone and wood beads I found at bead stores with good results: tie a knot and thread it through the bead hole and you’re done. However, my old Ramirez is so worn even smoothly contoured beads were eating into and enlarging the string holes. So I gave the Rosette Diamond BridgeBeads a go, and I’m glad I did. At first appearance they’re underwhelming compared to the jade and bone beads I’m used to. In fact, they’re really unsightly when installed against the rosewood and cedar of my old guitar. Once I got over the cheap plastic styling, I must say this product works very well indeed: easy to thread the string and lock under the loop, faster to install than a traditional tie or knot, secure and no change in sound. However, the most significant improvement for my old Ramirez is the large flat gasket like design distributes the string tension across a much larger area surrounding the string hole, thereby reducing wear and abrasion. In a perfect world the Rosette Diamond BridgeBeads would be thinner and made of rosewood rather than plastic, blending in with the instrument. I won’t be installing Rosette Diamond BridgeBeads on my newer instruments as I’m happy with my smaller jade and bone beads. However, I consider the Rosette Diamond BridgeBeads a life saving surgery for my old friend, extending the life of my ’65 Ramirez for many more years. So not a perfect product but a darn good one and just what the doctor ordered. ... show more

They are easy to work with and look good. Don't really hear a sound difference but they make it easy to change strings with no slippage. Added another set to my other classical guitar.
