I finally was able to use crossbars for a rooftop carrier for a roadtrip. As soon as I merged onto freeway and sped up, the end caps popped off completely, with the exception of two. One bounced off the road and hit a vehicles windshield, the other, luckily just bounced a few times and was able to miss vehicles. The weight limit was well below the load capacity. Went on easy for 2020 Highlander XLE, feels sturdy/ HAD A PROBLEM WITH ONE OF THE END CAPS FLEW OFF. BE SURE THEY SNAP ON GOOD. Great customer service from ACMEX, they stepped up and sent me a whole new rack.

The directions weren't the best, the locks are plastic, and some of the washers needed were missing from the box (but I already had other washers on hand I could use). Hence the 4-star rating.
