Overall, it was an easy install. It felt like the parts are designed and made well. Slight complication with the how the sticker marks front and rear, as far as the cross bars go, but common sense prevail. Having basic DIY skills will definitely help along with a power screwdriver and bits.

I wanted to like these, i've installed roof racks on several vehicles i've owned and wanted the same for my Soul. I opened the box and read the instructions, pretty simple, started assembly and seemed everything was going well but noticed what looked like scratches on some of the metal and plastic pieces. Well it's a utility rack so it will get scratched transporting things anyways right? So i move on. Then i get to the point of attaching them to the roof. That's where i ran into a real problem, the hex screws has significant wear almost to the point of being completely stripped. They would not secure to the top of the car. I had to go to the hardware store and have someone help me find screws that had the same threads, upon returning home the screws i bought at HD connected the rack to the top of the car. I'd like to think they are totally secure but they aren't designed for this purpose. I'll have to seriously decide whether i want to keep this or not considering at this point i'm pretty sure i recieved either a "WELL" used roof rack or this company has aweful quality control. I have installed 3 sets of cross bars on 3 different Kia Souls, all 3 different manufactures. All 3 have been good products that functioned as they were supposed to. The difference is in the installation! I had the ANTS Parts model installed in 30-40 minutes with NO hassles. I'm 80 years old and not as nimble as I used to be. They are very well made and feel very solid and add to the over all look of my Kia Soul. I can not imagine that OEM cross bars could have been better, even at 3 times the price. There are a lot of different choices available, but I recommend these!! After a 1000 mile trip, I can add that there is NO discernible wind noise. In my experience, this is unheard of. ... show more

I have a 2020 Kia Soul GT Turbo. My racks came with the removable rubber feet on the wrong sides. That made it to where the bolts were too short. I switched the rubber feet to the correct sides(as shown in my picture) and the bolts were long enough. The feet must sit in the ridges like in my picture. Also, the arrows on the bars face forward. Make sure that the bars are attached(loosely) before screwing down the legs. Repeating, make sure that the removable rubber feet that are between the legs and your roof are on the correct sides and seated properly in the ridges. ... show more
