  • Perfect fit for Hyundai Tucson 2018
These bars feel sturdy and durable. Instalation was a breeze and looks are very nice. They seem factory made. Price is a big plus.

  • 4mm of plastic holds this to the rails
UPDATE: This vendor clearly cares about the opinions of their customers. They offered to send a replacement pair of crossbars which I accepted with some reservation. In view of my original review I decided to fabricate the reinforcement in the area that I deemed defective. I used .5mm x 17mm channel and cut it to fit in the recess (the channel was a leftover piece of led strip light channel) with a hole in the middle for the clamp bolt. Now when fully tightened the plastic is sandwiched securely between the washer and the metal piece on the inside of the clamp that secures the crossbar to the roof rails. The end result is a secure crossbar installation that should not fail under normal use. I have not yet attempted to put anything on the crossbars but doing "grab and shake" there is no movement or indication that something is about to break. At highway speeds it seems quiet, I'm not sure it's the rack without doing a side by side comparison but there may be a bit of a wind rumble from it with the windows up. Overall I'm now satisfied with this item. ORIGINAL: From the tacky logo down to the mounting hardware these rack crossbars scream "CHEAP". It is seriously disturbing that they claim this rack will carry 165 pounds. The engineer who made the horrifying decision that a bolt bearing entirely on 4mm of molded plastic is sufficient to hold the clamp tightly should consider entertainment as a career. But then you notice that in addition to this the plastic is actually molded with a thinner area through the middle of the bolt hole in the exact weakest spot which is where it broke first. I have no clue as to what drove this design decision other than appearance? There is no functional reason why that was necessary. I was seriously concerned when I noticed that the bolts that tighten the inner plate to the outer support tightened against plastic but figured that the plastic MUST be substantial to handle this or have some internal reinforcement (like metal) and in a complete lapse on my part I didn't disassemble it to verify before installing. This part of the mount is preassembled and at first glance looks like the plastic is actually not connected side to side due to the aforementioned thin area which due to the washer looks like it has a split through the center. There is no reinforcement, the plastic is all there is. As you can see in the pictures the plastic simply broke at the midpoint and sheared off on the sides leaving nothing to connect the inner plate to the rest of the rack. Once that happened you could just pull the inner plate off by hand. As far as I am concerned this is a total FAIL. As a side note the logo looks terrible, a suitable alert to the overall cheap nature of this product. The only positive is that it is easy to install but unless you wish to gift the guy in back of you your kayak/bike/whatever I would avoid this product. ... show more

  • Solid Cross Bars
Fit my 2021 Tucson perfectly. Easy to install, took me maybe 30 minites total to assemble and moumt. Solid construction. If you plan on mounting kayak J bars just be aware that these cross bars are nearly flat. Make sure the J bars you buy can accommodate flat cross bars.

  • Absolute Garbage
These crossbars are complete junk. It broke and I dumped two kayaks worth $3000 on the freeway. Luckily, my kayaks survived, but the mounts broke off the crossbars. Made of Chinesium.
