  • This is a nice set of heavy duty racks
This is a nice set of heavy duty racks. Perfect match for my 2018 Tacoma long bed. I also like the fact that it can carry 800 lbs, not many bed racks can do this. I will use it to carry lumber and plywood. Surfboards if the surf is up! However I find 2 issues. One a factory defect the other preference. 1. The slots/holes of the foot (part that attaches to the existing rail of the truck) is too high. It made the attaching bolts go at an upward angle. I lowered it 3/8" by drilling and dressing the slot. The knobs/nuts now sit perfectly perpendicular to the foot. 2. The crossbar is too high. It was looking like it is ready to fly.. It is about 6" over the cab. I cut down 3" of the legs at the bottom. This made it sleek and nice looking and now it is easier to load my surf boards too. To do this, I made a miter box then cut the legs at the same 15 degree angle. I then drilled them with 7/16" bit. To accommodate the carriage bolts, I dressed the holes by running a 1/8" drill to make the corners. I also used a small file. If you are hauling a canoe it might not be wise to do this. Because the canoe has an arch and so may touch the cab roof. Unless you load the canoe in an upright position. ... show more

  • Nice rack!! ;)
I have this same exact rack on my Tacoma. It's very sturdy. Good design. The second time I purchased this was for my Tundra. FedWrecks delivered it damaged (box repaired with tape) and the package was missing a critical piece (an upright support). If there is any hardware missing or needing replaced, you're outta luck because more than half of the hardware is NOT "off-the-shelf" hardware and the manufacturer will NOT supply whatever might be missing, so you'll be returning it if something is missing. It's worth mentioning that I do highly recommend the product, ***BUT*** when you thread the stainless bolts into the "RIvet-nut" or "Nut-sert" in the upright, do so very carefully because these are not installed very tightly at the factory. If you cross the thread and gaul the end of the bolt or booger up the rivet-nut, you're going to have one helluva time because the rivet-nut will just spin while you're attempting to back out of your rookie mistake. Stainless is notorious for this. Spreetail went out of their way to process my return late. They could have easily said, "Sorry, not sorry." but they did me right. ... show more

  • 2023 Nissan Titan - good fit, some issues
Almost universally here people say the strut geometry is off and the flat ends do NOT lie flat. Also, that under piece you need to cut....yeah those measurements are off. Had to shorten them all. Used my bench grinder and wire wheel to get the perfect. This helped a bunch...maybe a 1/4 to 1/2 inch off of each. Seems sturdy and other than the strut angle, it looks great. Tooky wife and I about 2 hours. ... show more

  • Good quality rack - Fits 2020 Toyota Tundra
Nice quality rack. Took a bit to install, instructions were good, but even after measuring and cutting the under covers to recommended length, found out they were still a bit too long, so had to disassemble the rack and cut them shorter. Recommend doing a "dry fit" prior to screwing everything together! Used the racks this past weekend to transport our kayak and they worked great. Super sturdy. Had enough clearance for the kayak to clear the fin on the back of the cab of the Tundra. Only complaint is that they are a pain to slide the T-Bolts into the channel of my Tundra's bed. We only plan on using these a few times a year, so we planned on not leaving them on the truck all the time. But after all the jiggling and fussing and cussing we had to do to get the T-Bolts lined up in the channels to slide into the bed, we will probably be leaving them on most of the time! ... show more

  • So far almost good
Just installed in my 2023 Tacoma with bed liner but haven’t used the rack yet. Install was pretty straightforward. Had a couple issues as others have mentioned. The holes in the base for the uprights had to be lengthened about 3/8” to get them to set flush on the bed rails. Then there are the the locking knobs. My key came uncut so it will not work the lock. While looking it over both lock cylinders fell out of the knobs. I have sent a request to the company for two non locking knobs as replacements. Overall I’m pretty pleased with the solid construction and materials. I also found that my Thule kayak saddles with the metal bracket for square or round bar fits nicely. Updated: after a week of having contacted the company via the Amazon link I have not heard back from them about replacing the locking knobs/key that were defective. Very disappointed I spent this kind of money for poor customer support. Update 06/2024: never heard back from the company about replacement locking knobs. So I modified them to work. I disassembled the knob to look things over. Since the lock cylinder falls out I found that I could file down the lock pin and make it work. Now I just insert the key and turn the whole cylinder while tightening or loosing the knob. Once tight I can remove the key and the cylinder stays in place. ... show more
