Haven’t done a model in 50 years but I fell off the roof and broke my legs and this seemed like a good idea. Pros: 1. Fun and relaxing 2. Distracting (what I was shooting for) 3. Precision cuts (almost all fit as planned) 4. Fast delivery Cons: 1. Face of magazine drum was warped 2. Not happy with the finished product (just doesn’t “look” like the advertisement) 3. Spring for bolt doesn’t have tension enough to drop next rubber band Conclusion: 1. I’m a novice and got it done in 12 hours 2. Would recommend to anyone with a couple of days to burn 3. It did take several hours to put it together because there are a lot of parts. It’s not terribly difficult to put together. The instructions are clear and easy to follow. The thing actually works when it’s finished and the kids love it.

The media could not be loaded. I've done a couple of these ROKR rubber band gun builds and this is my favorite so far. It's not for the faint of heart but if you're good at following directions and taking your time, then you shouldn't have any problems. This particular tommy gun shoots full auto only. Unlike the AK-47 build that I did, which is select fire. What really makes it cool is the wooden dowl rods ejection from the magazine. ... show more

The tpy is pretty cool. I dont suggest giving this to a child unless yours is smarter than most and knows how to follow directions. Lots of tiny pieces have to go just right. But once assembled properly its a cool looking little toy.

Amusingly, at Christmas imagine the surprise when 3 out of 4 brothers received this on Christmas morning thinking they had uniquely nailed the perfect Christmas gift for their siblings. And to be honest, they did. Each brother (with varying levels of patience and experience) enjoyed putting together and using this gift. The ease to assemble is NOT a knock on the product. It is what MADE the experience fun. There were clear instructions and it was absolutely possible.
