  • Great product!!
Great product! Just make sure your parts are clean! No oil, carbon, dirt etc. I didn’t, had dirty threads.. and got to do it twice.

  • The winner is Rocksett!!!
A little dab will do ya! Use this on gas blocks and muzzle breaks if you want the best thread locking retention method. Rocksett is a superior method that can handle high heat application. Don't even think of using Loc**ite 242 or 271 because they will not hold up under the heat. Rocksett is easy to remove with just a little warm water soak, look on their website. ... show more

  • Understand the difference.
Loctite is a methacrylate-based acrylate polymer, i.e. an elastic-plastic, which offers thread locking solutions ranging from medium to high strength at moderate temperatures. For example, 272 (Red) provides a shear strength of 2,900 psi and a tensile strength of 200 psi while withstanding temperatures ranging from -65 °F to 450 °F. Rocksett, on the other hand, is a ceramic cement (not a contact cement) which provides a shear strength of 450 psi and a tensile strength of 250 psi while withstanding temperatures ranging from -350 °F to 2,015 °F. Meaning its tensile strength, which on fastener threads is the main component to locking them in place, performs similar to Loctite 272. However, Rockett must be applied correctly to achieve this degree of bonding performance. Surfaces should be thoroughly cleaned and tempered to 175 °F for approximately 15 minutes via a heat gun (or hair drier) prior to application. The one critical review of this product likely failed to follow such direction. Because while heat is not necessary for bonding to occur, the lack therefore results in a much weaker bond. ... show more

  • Great product for its intended use.
I like Rocksett for semi permanent mounting of muzzle devises. At 4oz it lasts a good while while being a good value.

  • 4oz will last a lifetime
Showed up fast and is hands down best product for keeping things tight with excessive heat on threads
