  • These gaming headphones are great!
These feel really nice and have a wide range of settings for fit. The ear cups feel really good and don't hurt my head after many hours of game playing. The surround sound is nice, but for music you want these in stereo for the deeper base. They get decently loud, but not overly loud. Most people would find that it gets loud enough for music, videos, and gaming. The look nice sitting on your desk with the RGB lighting which does not look overly done. The microphone is loud and clear as per my gaming buddies. When you have the mic in the up position it mutes automatically for you which is a nice feature. With the software you can change the sound of your voice as well. I find these so nice I'd rather have them on than off. I have great desktop speakers, but the sound quality from these is so nice I find myself just using them. I don't hear any buzzing or computer noise as well. The only issue that I had was when I initially got them, I could not seem to get the mic to work properly. I used the software to update the headset firmware and it still did not fix the issue. The problem was that I had these plugged into a USB hub, once I connected them directly to a USB3 port on my computer the issue resolved and everything worked nicely. I would recommend these to my friends. A very nice feeling and sounding headset. ... show more

  • Great, good, or something
As a dedicated pair of gaming headphones, you can not find better. The audio quality is fantastic. They are the most comfortable set of cans I own ( khan, XM3, Surface headphones, Taotronics, logi G930) Here is my problem, it's not 2008 anymore these feel almost old fashioned or last decade. You have to plug them into a usb. If they had found a way to make these wireless I would gladly paid 350 for them. I guess I have been spoiled by wireless.... ... show more

  • Great headset but not worth $120
The ROCCAT Khan AIMO is actually a pretty decent headset, I just don't think it's worth any more than $70. Here is my review: I'll start with the pros. It's a really comfortable headset that is actually pretty light and isn't as bulky as it looks. The ear cups had enough depth so that my ears weren't touching the drivers and the clamping force wasn't bad at all, passive noise cancelation was good too. Despite the plastic frame it feels almost premium, the only not premium feeling physical aspect were the steel sliders to adjust the size. They were pretty loose and didn't have any numbers or notches to show how far you have extended it, you just had to rely on counting the clicks. Moving on, the RGB looks great! AIMO is awesome, I love the way my other Roccat AIMO peripherals interact with each other when I have it enabled. The mic quality is clear is not nasally, I made a few recordings to test it and I wasn't disappointed. And now for the cons. I'll start with the biggest first: Audio quality. It's said to have "Hi-Res Sound" and that may be true but I couldn't tell. I'm no audio professional but I am a bit of an audiophile and like my sound/music to have depth to it. Sadly this almost perfect headset was very disappointing in that aspect. The audio felt kind of flat and there wasn't really much bass to it (a deal-breaker for me), even with it turned all the way up in the Roccat EQ/Swarm software. My old headset (a HyperX Cloud Core) was just $70 and it has MUCH better sound depth and bass than this one does, just no RGB or software. So I will be returning this product and looking elsewhere for a new headset, perhaps HyperX again. The other con is 7.1 surround sound of course. I have NEVER used a headset that has good 7.1 and this one, unsurprisingly, didn't either. Something about it always seems off, and when listening to "The Tucker Zone" on YouTube ("A 3D Sound Experience") it seemed to just give the sounds extra positional depth and moved them to slightly inaccurate positions. I admit this isn't the best way to test 7.1 surround but it wasn't really a feature I was interested in so I didn't bother to do any further testing on it. And I believe that concludes my review, if I think of anything else I'll come back and edit it in. Thanks for reading, hope this helped! A quick note: I did not experience any problems installing this headset in the Swarm software if anyone was wondering. ... show more

  • WONDERFUL
I ADORE THIS HEADSET IT IS SO COMFORTABLE THAT I FORGET THAT I AM WEARING IT, GREAT QUALITY, SENSITIVE MIC ( PICKS UP A LITTLE BACKGROUND NOISE) AND THE CORD IS LONG LIKE REALLY LONG LOL BUT OVERALL I AM EXTREMELY SATISFIED WITH MY PURCHASE. A+++++++++++

  • They creak
Ligtweight not to hard on the ears after wearing them for any length of time. Sound is ok out of the box, can be better through the swarm app using the equalizer adjustments, Equalizer adjustments to perfect sound is time consuming. Pet Peve: The right side Creaks WAY to much when moving head around, The best fix I came up with is some vaseline smeered on and around the ear coupling swivel and the exposed metal portion of the head piece. Still will start creaking after a few days again. ... show more
