These worked out really nicely for me. They are 300 x 500 mm and just under 3 mm thick at 2.97 mm. Walnut veneer is nice but the grain is along the short side, so plan accordingly

I really like this product. I used the medium basswood setting because light basswood didn’t cut all the way through in some places. A little warped but nothing to bad. Just put some magnets to hold it down. Painted using acrylic paint and acrylic paint markers.

Update - I contacted the seller and they sent a replacement order. This package was really nice and the stain did not come off of the boards when I sealed them. They are really pretty boards. I appreciate good sellers. This wood is pretty and I really wanted to like it. I did a project with it and had to seal the boards. To my amazement the color on the boards came off onto the paint brush I was using so much so that it ruined the sealer by leaving a brown residue in the clear sealer! Not good. I regularly stain my birch boards with stain and I have never had the stain come off on the brush when I am sealing them after staining so I do not know what is up with these boards. I use this basswood on my diode laser. The sheets come with nicely cut edges, and they cut cleanly on my laser. My only slight concern is that the grain on the veneer is very pronounced. Typically basswood is very pale with very little grain, but this product has some yellows in it and pretty pronounced grain. Not a deal breaker but it could influence the look of your finished product. ... show more

2 packs in a row that won't laser cut through because of clue pockets. I have purchased this several times and it was fine. The quality seems to have gone down. The same with the birch veneer as well.

This is a good looking walnut plywood with a thickness of just shy of 3 mm (1/8"). The 12"x12" is actually 300mm x 300 mm. The entire package contained sheets that were flat. The first piece I cut with my 5w diode laser cut beautifully (4 passes, 360mm/m, 100%) The second piece, not so much. Whatever material is in the substrate my laser would not penetrate. On the same sheet I did get several pieces that were cleanly cut, but over half of the sheet was scrapped (on a 4 hour burn). I suspect I will have better luck with the remaining sheets and that the second piece was an anomaly. Edit 12/4/23: 2 more sheets became a total waste (not to mention the time it takes for the burn). The core material pops, sending pieces of material all over the work piece. Fine details get blown out or burned out, even after reducing the power and increasing the number of passes. In some areas, the laser will not penetrate the substrate. I was set to order more, but just removed from my cart. ... show more
