Bought this for a friend who gave it to his brother to assemble, who gave it to my husband to fix Lol. Assembled in 2 days! My only disappointment is I thought the date and month was automatic with the clock. My bad I guess. Still beautiful clock.

I enjoyed putting this together and I'm not a pro at these types of things. I don't think it took me 4 hours, but I forgot to check what time I started. I would recommend using an Exacto knife to help pry some of the more delicate pieces out. I saw one review about how it was difficult to get the hands on the clock and I did experience that but I kept at it and was able to snap the hour hand down onto the stalk thing after a bit of pushing. Someone also commented on having issues with the clock falling apart when they tried to put the battery in and I found that the batter should be put in positive side first as opposed to negative side first (as is common in most devices). Once I figured that out, it was easy to put the battery in without forcing or putting too much pressure on the rest of the puzzle/clock. Once I got everything together and the clock working I was able to put it up on my wall with no issues with pieces falling off. I wouldn't recommend excessive handling of the clock once you put it together, but with reasonable care I don't think there should be any issues with it falling apart. I had hoped that the day/date/month wheels were somehow automated, but those are adjusted manually and should be done so with care so that you don't put too much pressure on any other parts of the clock while turning the gears. ... show more

Great project for me and my teenaged grandson. I intended to give it as a gift to him but he insisted that we do it together. I dislodged the pieces from the boards using the detailed instructions, he assembled. We completed this project in about 3 hours, while watching The Expanse.     • Fun and challenging puzzle, but directions and mechanical clock are sub-par
My dad and I had a great time putting this clock together. Took us about 4 hours. I rated "Easy to Assemble" 5 stars, because we never ran in to any snags that were not caused by us. The puzzle is quite difficult, but if you can put together an advanced lego set, this shouldn't be a problem. The instructions were poorly translated to English - sometimes hilariously so... but even so, we could tell what they were asking us to do. The big disappointment came after the 4 hour build time, we could not get the hands of the clock to mount on to the mechanical motor. We will need to try to find another one, but the hole for the big hand was too small for the axle. Otherwise this would have been 5 stars. ... show more
