The device is so easy to use! Set up literally took seconds! I was worried about a few of my devices not being able to connect - but the device allows you to switch between 2.4G and 5G - making it so convenient to work with what I need it to! I just moved and needed wifi for a few weeks to set up my new fiber account and needed something that would work ASAP and not require an account. This fit perfectly for what I needed and had a great connection for working from home. I'm so happy to have the device now - I'll be using this for future trips. The battery life isn't an inconvenience because it works while plugged in as well. The speed works just as well as my old wifi and allows me to stream videos and do conference calls. Bought this to use as a backup WiFi source for work on a couple of international trips. Luckily, there was high-speed local WiFi available on most of my trips, but this device gave me peace of mind and allowed me to continue working when the local services didn't provide. It is also very portable, and is easy to set up and reload. I plan to use it on domestic and international travels ahead. Would caution against using it as your sole WiFi source because it runs on LTE; the service is much spottier in remote areas. ... show more

Just received my RoamWiFi and I'v already been able to add the app to my phone and it was so easy to find the country I'll be traveling to. I am not tech savvy so I was nervous about how to use this and am so pleased to find out how easy the process is. I found the app on my phone with ease and followed the easy instructions to get started. I will post again once I come back from my trip on the connectivity in Portugal. Update: When I got to Portugal, I wasn't sure how to find the password to use the device, but it's easy. You just have to click the power button until it reaches the device information and it provides the passcode to use. I was able to use the device to logon to WiFi and it works really well. First off, it was super easy to create an account and get connected. I was up in running in about 5 minutes. I originally purchased this for a specific reason. I installed some Google Nest cameras in a location without internet and so I was hoping this hotspot would work. To my surprise, it has stayed working non-stop for nearly a month now without me having to go and reboot the unit. I definitely look forward to traveling with this in the future because of how well it has worked for this specific use-case. I needed a mobile hotspot to work from a non-traditional location with horrible internet for a couple of weeks and this worked perfectly. I was able to connect to my VPN easily and quickly using this, had 4 devices connected at a time, and had zero issues. It’s quick, easy to install, connect, ans use. My only VERY minor complaint is it feels like it takes forever to turn on and connect (it’s about 3 min) so if you are running late and forget to turn it on first it’s a little annoying. It came with 10gb of data/30 days, I bought an additional package thinking I’d blow through the data, but I didn’t, and never used the package I bought and they refunded it. ... show more

As a not very technical person I was a little worried about the set-up but it was super easy. We initially bought this for a long car ride so my son could use his iPad. Now I am considering keeping the plan going because I work remotely and occasionally I run into spotty or non-existent internet when on the road, or even in the instance of a power outage. I really like the LED screen that you can scroll through with power button to see plan like USA as well as data usage without having to open app. So far the signal is good, speed is good, and the packages offered are decent and cost is good. My complaints mainly come down to the app and lack of auto renewing packages. While it's nice to buy a 90 day package. I would like an auto renew option offered. Also the app doesn't give you much info about device itself and you have no control of name/password for device. Also you can't cycle carriers, it just chooses the carrier in background which means no way to cycle it see if better signal available. It definitely suits my purposes but the basic app and lack of auto renew packages may become an issue especially since this is for my mother-in-law that's in an assisted living facility and this will give her internet for streaming music etc so an auto renewing package would be a nice addition instead of me having to set a calendar item to make sure to reload before she runs out of data. Speedtest was about 30mb down and 10up on regular testing, sufficient for my needs ... show more
