  • Where has this been all my life?
Stright out of the box the device felt well-constructed. In 10 minutes I was able to tune 2 6 string acoustic guitars, a 12 string acoustic, 6 string electric bass and a ukulele. Roadie claims the device is powerful and it really is! There is lots of torque generated, so hang on tight boys and girls. I would definitely recommend this tuner for anyone that wants to be able to play more and tune less. I still have to play with the alternate tuning settings, but so far this is definitely worth the price. ... show more

  • FINALLY! An accurate tuner the blind can use!
I am blind and have been looking for an accurate tuner for my Bass. After years of looking around, I was told that this one would do the trick. After learning a little about this tuner and breaking down and grabbing it, I found that there actually was a tuner that works and is very accurate! There is vibration and a beep when the string is in tune and that is what I have needed all this time! A little crazy on the price but I have to admit it works... ... show more

  • Nope, not even close
This product works great, as long as you aren't used to having your bass tuned precisely. Like if you literally don't know how to tune your bass, this might be better than nothing. Otherwise, anyone who has any experience doesn't want their bass in the ballpark of being tuned, but actually tuned. If there are any professional roadies using this they are hacks. I would fire my roadie if I picked up my bass and it was just "nearly tuned". And for $150, you have got to be kidding. I hope they give my money back, this thing is disappointing as hell, I should have known better. ... show more

  • Perfect tuning
I’m in love with my tuner for my bass. Works on many other guitars, too. However my bass was the one my other, cheaper tuner, had problems getting it just right. If you’re going to play professionally or just going to play often,I highly recommend getting one.

  • Wonderful Tool
I have had 2 issues with my Roadie Bass. A firmware update fixed the first issue. The 2nd came after using it for 15 months. I was concerned because my warranty was up after 1 year. I wrote to customer service and was blown away at the way things went. It went way smooth and they replace the Roadie Bass for me. Great People to deal with! ... show more

  • De-tunes the D string and slow to react.
I use this on 3 different 5 string basses. It’s slow to detect the low B and randomly unwinds them. It even did it to the D string. It seems worse if there’s loud music in the venue with heavy bottom-end, like Hip-Hop. Works great in a more quiet environment. Follow up: Worked with their tech support. Traded emails and tried all their suggestions. It was out of warranty (NEVER worked right). I paid their repair fee and shipped it back. Got a replacement and the new one does the exact same thing. Slow to react and unwinds the D - even when it’s in tune. I put my Korg on it. Had it in tune, put the Roadie Bass on it and watched it unwind the D. Does it on all 4 of my basses (Fender and Music Man) Nothing more than a $150 POS, paperweight! ... show more

  • Fast Accurate Tuning
I have the Roadie Bass Tuner. I only play at home but this makes switching from Standard tuning to Drop-D quick and easy. There are other options I haven’t tried yet so I can’t speak to those. I like it.

  • roadie bass tuner... not satisfied
it doesn't work even half as well as the Roadie 3. The Roadie 3 is the best automated tuner on the market. It's never failed and it's very responsive. it's very programmable. A feature i love and use to create new tunings. I've recommended it to many of my friends and they're very satisfied with it. BUT... the Roadie Bass tuner is just bad. The sensitivity is almost non-existent. I have to spend ridiculous amounts of time getting it to recognize each string. It doesn't work at all with the 5 string basses. It tries to tune the B string high.. to a point where I'm afraid it's going to break the string... obviously i stop it before it gets there. The programming doesn't allow me to change back to a 4 string. (My acoustic basses are 4 string). And the read out... the Roadie 3 has a great display that shows with bars how close it is and whether it's above or below pitch. The Roadie Bass tuner just has a light that flashes in the handle and a blue light on the other end that turns green when it's in tune. I'm hoping they take a long, hard look at this product and make some fixes. ... show more
