  • All around awesome product
My first ladder stand, used climbers for many years. So it is heavy, and was a pain to put up by myself, but once secured, it is a nice stand. Couple of things I dislike, once the stand is secured enough for climbing it is an absolute pain to get the tree straps secured. Leaning over the bench for the top strap wasn't so bad, but the bottom strap was just really hard to secure. I had to lay down on the deck and under the seat and hang half way off the back of the stand to reach it and I'm 6ft. Next time I'll strap the climber to the tree and climb up to it. The rifle rest should have an option to bolt it on, it just sits on two posts. I like the idea of having removable padding, but the back support one is paper thin and not so comfortable, while the bottom one is extra beefy and plenty of cushion. The seat on mine will not stay up on it's own with the padding in place, but that's easy to fix. Assembly was easy, good instructions, but the tool recommendation was wrong. My instructions said 2 1/2 inch wrenches, and 2 7/16. The 1/2 bolt heads wouldn't fit my 1/2 wrenches or sockets, not even 12 point, so I realized it was a 13mm. I'll buy another and do recommend the product. ... show more

  • Solid, Comfortable Stand!
Product was damaged in shipping however there was a very quick resolution which I was happy with. The box had a few rough days in the hands of our friends at USPS. Initial reactions are very positive on the stand quality, size and assembly requirements. Not a great option for hang and hunts but a VERY good option for a stand that will spend the entire season, or multiple in the same tree. Large, safe platform, nice footrest for long sits, big comfortable seat and the ratchet strap has loops to make setting up much easier. Stand isn't extremely heavy for the size but is build very durably. Very reasonably priced. Also, you only need to hook the cables to the platform upon receiving and you are ready to hit the woods with it. Rivers Edge customer service has gone above and beyond with an extremely quick response time. Highly recommended brand and tree stand! ... show more

  • Mostly a great stand so far
I finally got to set up the stand and use it for the first time the other day. Overall the stand is very well built and comfortable. It is also one of the highest ladder stands I own at a TRUE 21’ to the shooting rest! The only thing that needs to be changed is the shooting rest and the covering on the seating and back rest cushions. The cushions are THE ABSOLUTE NOISIEST I HAVE EVER SEEN!! (They sound like you are sitting on snow that has a hard noisy crust over it)... I can’t imagine that any of this noise would be tolerated by a deer at close range.. The shooting rest is not adjustable and at a fairly useless angle to use for shooting at anything unless it is within 50yds ( where it wouldn’t be needed anyway). If these problems were addressed, the stand would be very close to PERFECTION! ... show more

  • Cadillac of Ladder Stands
The height of this stand is excellent, the seat cushion is comfortable, the retractable footrest is a plus, and the ladder itself is very well built. However, there are a few things I dislike first the knobs that hold the ladder sections snug become loose regardless of how tight you make them and fall out without notice. (Need to purchase a few after losing some in the leaves / woods) Would like to have a couple of posts on the back of the stand I could relocate the rifle rest too when bow hunting. The seat can be raised but it will not stay up with the bottom cushion in place. Since it came down and smacked me on the head I now use a bungee cord to keep it in the upright position when attaching the bottom strap or bow hunting. Assembly was pretty straight forward and the directions well written, but if I remember correctly it should be a 1/2" wrench for the bolt head and a 9/16" wrench for the nuts. The last thing I have noticed is the powder coating must be very thing because after being in the weather for a few months I have surface rust in many locations. All that said, I WOULD STILL BUY THIS STAND AGAIN and hope the my next one will have some of my comments considered / incorporated. ... show more

  • Great value a little noisy.
Great set of sticks for the money. I’m 265 and they held me solid. Not the lightest in the world by any means. They do stack into each other but the ratchet cam strikes the metal sticks and makes noticeable noise. I went to Home Depot and picked up some square wooden dowels and hot glued them into the tube everywhere excepts the teeth that go into the tree. I hope this will quiet them down a little. If you’re going on and out of the woods with them may want to consider a back pack that has external straps so you’re not carrying them by hand the whole time. ... show more

  • Pretty good
Assembly is easier with two people but if you are corn fed you will be able to get it up yourself. I don't know anyone who uses the straps that come with their treestands so I used my own higher quality ratchet straps. I use two at the top (securing the foot rest and the seat to the tree) and a cinch strap to secure the metal ladder brace that goes up against the tree. I usually don't use a harness unless I am using a hang on stand but I am definitely going to use one on this stand. It says the height is 16 feet but it seems more like 20 when you are up there. The first picture is the stand up in my spot and the second is the view from the top. Overall this is an excellent, simple tree stand ... show more

  • Solid investment
This is a phenomenal bow stand and a DEAL for the money. It’s (relatively) easy to install, rock-solid sturdy and RIDICULOUSLY comfortable. I spent around 100 hours in it last season and loved it enough to “buy it again.” It wasn’t de-hung at the end of the season and has been left in the elements for nearly a year. Minor corrosion at chipped paint location, but otherwise looks like it did coming out of the box. ... show more

  • Great stand
Bought one last year, hunted out of it this year, and ordered another for next year.... Very, very comfortable and more than enough room. Huge platform and the biggest thing for me was the contour of the seat and how comfortable it was. Very sturdy and locks on the tree well. If there was one draw back, it would be that it's a little more heavy than most lock-on stands, but that's because of how well it's made and its size. It's by far my favorite stand to hunt out of. ... show more
