I’m a 260lb tattooed 50yr old guy who needs exercise. Despite being off skates since adulthood, my girl took me to a roller rink and I decided this would be good for me. I’ve been using these Darts for about two weeks now, three days per week, and they’ve been a great purchase at their price point. The smallest sneaker I can wear is an 11. I wanted a good safe fit and ordered an 11 for these Riedells and they fit perfect. I read reviews about being narrow but I feel it fits like it should. I guess I don’t have wide feet but I definitely don’t have narrow feet. Anyway, I thought they fit true to size, for men. The weight doesn’t bother me and I’ve had NO ankle pain.. and I’m out of shape, so I should have. I kind of have feet problems and a lot of shoes are too uncomfortable for me but these skates did fine with stock insoles for the hour I spend on them at the rink. The wheels are great for beginners. They feel like they’re smooth and quick enough but, being as I was a big skateboarder for decades, I might try upgrading the wheels to a slightly harder one, maybe a 95a, with Swiss bearings. I THINK I want to go faster.. but the wheels and bearings that come on it are great quality and should make most people happy. I’m only going to change them to see what happens, not because I’m unhappy with their performance. So, if you’re looking for a good skate that’s is good at its price point, I think Riedell Darts work great. ... show more

I love these skates, they literally glide across the floor. I know why they are called jam skates. They are beautiful and have excellent padding. Completely comfortable right out of the box! I love them. I did buy black waxed skate laces because I think they hold the skate tighter and better. They seem extremely durable and aren’t really heavy either. They are just perfect. That’s my opinion anyway. I have to say i have several pairs of skates but these are my favorite. I love how easy they make it to perform a circle or just glide in general. You can do a lot on these skates plus the toe stops are the best! They actually are the perfect height so you can stop with ease and they just stop you. They don’t grab and not hold to where you would lose your balance. They actually make stopping probably the easiest of any skates I have ever had on. 5+ stars. Love these! ... show more

These baby blue squads are the beezz kneezz! They’re comfortable. The quad plate is solid metal it’s not plastic. They might feel a little heavy but that’s normal! The color of the wheels match the color of the boot seamlessly! The ride is so smooth because the wheels are fresh and new. I do not recommend on hardwood floors. Very slippery! I’ve been riding quads since I was 12 and I love these ones! It’s also very secure when riding! Great quality! ... show more

I was very happy with the product. I got exactly what was being advertised. They worked great the first night that I took them out for a test spin at my local roller rink. I ordered a size 11 because I have a wide foot even though a size 10 would fit better lengthwise. The skates are roomy in the foot and I can wiggle my toes. They are comfortable and I didn’t even have to add extra cushion support inside of it. The tongue is a little hard up against the front of your ankle but I think with time the tongue will soften up . Comfy, decent. First impression is great! I tried these at my local rink and I immediately felt good in them. My only gripe is that the wheels that come standard with these are more an outdoor wheel and quite slippery on a rink floor. I plan on getting some new wheels, then these will be an awesome pair of skates. I was a very good skater in my youth and am now teaching my daughter - these skates give me plenty of control to be able to help her on the rink too. ... show more

I'm using the Riedell Skates for beginner roller derby. I'm very happy with them. To choose my size I followed the chart in the images. I bought one size down from my normal US size. I normally wear a 9 and I bought 8. They fit great. The laces that come with the skates are 54 inches long. I replaced them with 42 inch laces. I found the 54" lace's to have an excessive loop. The wheels are really hard and great for use on a roller rink. If you want to use them outside you need to purchase softer wheels. They come with a tool that fits all bolts and the wheels etc. As soon as you add these to your shopping cart immediately also add toe protectors. I wore them twice and already scuffed them in a fall. The wheels are smooth and the skates fit great. They are definitely worth the money. Really good mid-range price point. I immediately bought red some wax shoe strings and toe guards. They came with black strings.
