Description

The classic machine-made martini glass of the established glass collection vinum is the essential glassware for every home bar. The steeply rising sides of this glass best benefit The spirits of the classic martini to open up and help to release its complex aromas. All Riedel glasses are dishwasher safe. There's something very satisfying about the inverted cone shape of the classic martini glass. Riedel makes the Vinum martini glass in a smaller size than many, holding up to 4-5/8 ounces of a favorite Manhattan or gin martini. Measuring approximately six inches in height, each of the two glasses in this set feels beautifully balanced with a lanky stem that is not so thin that it is likely to snap during a lively cocktail party.Made in Bavaria of crystal for superb brilliance and clarity, Vinum wine glasses are nevertheless affordable because they are machine-made rather than mouth-blown. Since its introduction in 1986, the popular Vinum collection has grown to contain nearly two dozen different glasses. While all Vinum glassware is dishwasher-safe, Riedel recommends washing the crystal by hand to prevent detergent residue that can affect wine taste. --Ann Bieri

  • The best martini glasses around.
Why? Because the design, proportions, quality of the glass etc. is exactly correct. At least, they are the most aesthetically pleasing martini glass I've seen. I'm not a fan of glasses with etched designs on them, or thick stems etc. These are delicate and simple. Exactly correct for what they need to be IMHO. I have six in constant rotation with a couple of backups in case one chips, which they do on rare occasions, but that's not the fault of the glasses, in fact they hold up remarkably well. I've had them for many years and they do get lots of use but still look as good as the day I bought them. Plus I've given them as gifts - it's nice to give something to someone that you think is "the best"! ... show more

  • Correct and classic dimensions for the connoisseur that knows how a Martini should be presented.
These Martini glasses are spectacular! Worth the money. Ignorant morons that purchase 10-12oz ( seriously??) cheap Martini glasses, please walk away. A classic Martini, enjoyed my a true connoisseur would hold 4 oz with just a “ touch” of space remaining at the top of the glass. These glasses at 4 5/8 oz capacity are absolutely perfect. The correct shape, thin stem and absolutely perfect crystal will certainly impress your guests. I would highly recommend. ... show more

  • Exquisite Martini Glass
This is a beautiful glass. It’s elegant and graceful, but not too fragile. The size is perfect for a classic martini. It can be difficult to find a V-shaped martini glass that isn’t huge.

  • Good quality, smaller than typical cocktail glasses
Nice cocktail glasses. They are smaller than the typical cocktail glasses. (I should have read the description more carefully) but all in all a good quality. Just be sure that you’re intending to purchase a glass of this size.

  • Bought mostly for the brand, a little disappointed.
These are much smaller than they looked in the photos, pretty dainty. I was expecting something a little larger and robust. I suspect they will chip easily, and I will be buying something else, soon. I have always been satisfied with this brand, and have used their wine glasses for years. I shouldn’t have strayed into their other products. ... show more

  • Perfect martini glasses, versus current trend of martini goblets
Anyone remember when a martini was a martini? Or when a martini glass wasn’t a fish bowl? This perfect set will take you back to those golden days of the perfect, real, well chilled, straight up martini. The crystal is indeed good crystal, so my only warning is to be careful as these can chip because they are fine. But I’ve bought two sets already, highly recommended as the right size to keep a drink both elegant and well chilled. And right sized to enjoy more than one should the moment meet that joy. Highly recommended. ... show more

  • The perfect glass
I had a hard time giving these 5 stars on value, but then I thought about it for a minute. Yes, these glasses are expensive, but I would not have purchased them if I didn't think they would be worth it. They are extremely well made. They are also the perfect size. In this age of huge martini glasses, it's nice to finally find one that fits the classic recipes. 3 oz of booze, stirred on ice 52 times, then strained into the glass with 2 olives leaves exactly 1/8" of headspace. Every time. Exactly as it should be. ... show more

  • Perfect Size and Shape!
Everybody sells huge Martini glasses that are just ridiculous. Or the sides are too steep. Or both. (mostly both). This glass is the perfect size, with nicely flared sides. IMHO, a Martini shouldn't be so huge that it gets warm before you finish it. It should be 1.5 Oz. of good gin stirred in ice with a whiff of vermouth, and not more. Use one manzanilla olive, not three of those mutant huge things they use at bars to displace more liquor in their huge glasses. A correctly-sized Martini should last about one side of a Dave Brubeck album. This glass is that size. ... show more
