This backpack stands up to a 10 year old boy and if you have one you know what I mean. This thing gets thrown on the ground, up in the air, dragged on the ground, stuffed under the seat, into the closet, etc, and it has no tears, no holes or anything. My son chose this for 2nd grade insisting on having a red backpack. The pictures on Amazon don’t do it justice! It has so many great compartments. It seems very sturdy and the straps are nicely padded. We are both very happy with this purchase!

Such a great deal for the quality and price; perfect size; ideal for weekend getaway / hiking etc. way more handy compartments and practical than a similar backpack I got from Puma. The two zippers are covered which means nothing to worry even on a rainy day. water bottle spot on each side. laptop can be secured. many color options. love it :) ... show more

    • Falling Apart the First Week - but Service was phenominal!!!

My original comment was: "Within the first week the zipper was already breaking - a hole was growing alongside the zipper on the right. By the third week of use, the zipper on the left started getting stuck. Within five weeks, we were unable to zip the backpack fully and were only able to half way up on both sides. We didn't even make it through the first quarter of the school year and already have to buy a new backpack. Don't waste your time or your money." However, even though I wrote this comment after 90 days from purchase, the company replaced the backpack at no additional cost to me. They had realized that there was an issue with the zipper as noted by myself and various other users. I have not adjusted my comment until I was sure that the backpack was sound - and I was probably over cautious. It has been months from the time that we have had a replacement and we haven't had any trouble with the new backpack. Thank you to the Ricky H Lifestyle company for the way you handled this. This was a great deal for the price. Bagpacks are pretty expensive but this one is a nice size and seems like it will last a long time. My child loves it and he can fit everything he needs in it for school and find comfort in wearing it. There are multiple sections and areas in it. My only complaint with it is that when you zip the main area you have to bend back the crease of the fabric around it to be able to zip it properly. I purchased this for my 6 year old grandson for his return to school to 1st grade and I’m so happy I did he LOVES his new bag the red made him very happy, not to mention all the pockets, so far I am very happy with the quality of the bag, school just started here in Florida so I’ll have to update on the wear and tare durability in a few months, but it was shipped quick and is a nice looking bag on arrival, so far we’re happy with it and feel like it was good bang for our buck, I always got my kids the Jansport bags so this is a first time purchase for us oh also it has nice padded straps as well ... show more
