The batteries in both units were dead on arrival. I replaced the battery in each unit with the extra battery that was provided in the packaging and to my surprise both units worked! The battery door is heald in place with a very cheap, very small screw that does not give you confidence it will hold the door in place for many years. These units should not cost more than $10.
