The wood feels very lightweight and without a finish, almost like a driftwood. Normally that would have disappointed me, but they look very natural and I like that. I was able to set them up without needing a power tool, or another hand to help hold them up for me. I can imagine if you are using them to hold a lot of weight, they might not hold long-term. For light weight things, I assume they should last forever! I bought them to display my Funko Pops and they are perfect for what I got them for. The measurements in the description are accurate, so just make sure the size works for you before you purchase - they are supposed to be small shelves. Perfect price. Easy to assemble and could be assembled differently if you wanted. Wood is easy to get through with screws so I’d recommend a light hand when assembling.
