Description

It's been nearly 25 years since Robert Kiyosaki’s Rich Dad Poor Dad first made waves in the Personal Finance arena. It has since become the 1 Personal Finance book of all time... translated into dozens of languages and sold around the world. Rich Dad Poor Dad is Robert's story of growing up with two dads — his real father and the father of his best friend, his rich dad — and the ways in which both men shaped his thoughts about money and investing. The book explodes the myth that you need to earn a high income to be rich and explains the difference between working for money and having your money work for you. 20 Years... 20/20 Hindsight In the 20th Anniversary Edition of this classic, Robert offers an update on what we’ve seen over the past 20 years related to money, investing, and the global economy. Sidebars throughout the book will take readers “fast forward” — from 1997 to today — as Robert assesses how the principles taught by his rich dad have stood the test of time. In many ways, the messages of Rich Dad Poor Dad, messages that were criticized and challenged two decades ago, are more meaningful, relevant and important today than they were 20 years ago. As always, readers can expect that Robert will be candid, insightful... and continue to rock more than a few boats in his retrospective. Will there be a few surprises? Count on it. Rich Dad Poor Dad... • Explodes the myth that you need to earn a high income to become rich• Challenges the belief that your house is an asset• Shows parents why they can't rely on the school system to teach their kids about money• Defines once and for all an asset and a liability• Teaches you what to teach your kids about money for their future financial success. • This Book Opened My Eyes
I found this book informative and helpful in teaching me how to distinguish between what is an asset and a liability. I always thought a home was an asset, but this book taught me a different perspective and showed me that it was a liability. Now I am focused on building online businesses because they are assets that bring me cash flow. I'm so glad I found this book and have given it to my children to read. ... show more

  • This helped me so much!
So, I am a huge fan of the Rich Dad series. A guy on TikTok had it as a must read if you are starting your financial education journey. I have scense read 5 more books in his series taking notes from each book to build my own financial game plan. I am now out of bad debt, have control over my financial statement, and actually have an emergency fund, and am now looking for my first investment. Word of warning. these books teach mindset, theory, and suggests next steps - not so much straight answers. all of your financial education is literally up to you. I git a lot out of this so much so that I have purchased numerous copies and have given them away as gifts. 10/10 would recommend. ... show more

  • Must read for anyone who wants to build wealth
A great read for anyone starting out in life or who wants to break out of our feudal system of “get an education, earn a living” Sadly schools don’t teach and few parents do or know the basic financial knowledge or skills required to build wealth and become independent. Although this is only a primer, it offers very useful information that everyone should understand about how to use money and how to make investments before racking up a bunch of liabilities. ... show more

  • Life Altering
I’ve been eating to read this book for a while but kept putting it off. It even speaks about “procrastination” as a major factor of why people never attain their dreams. It helped me attain some of the best advice and knowledge I have ever had the pleasure of reading! I listened to the audiobook book after reading it because I wanted to soak up every bit of advice it had to offer! I’ve been building a private business in real estate for a couple years, and now have the confidence to get to my goals and dreams even faster! I’m a “Rich Dad” addict now! I’ve sent it to a few friends who I hope will grasp the message like did. Top three books I’ve ever read! I also have some great ways of teaching my boys to become wealthy too! Very exciting ... show more

  • Spans the test of time
This book has been out for 2 decades and still there is so much practical information in it. Using the life lesson then the skill to learn made it very easy to understand and adapt into my daily habits. Can't wait to continue reading his books to expand on the knowledge he has imparted on me in this one. ... show more

  • Buy ten copies as graduation gifts!
I’ve read a good chunk of the book and agree with everything written. I bought several copies, put a $1 bill in it as a bookmark with a note and asked, “what are you going to do with this?” The response I got from…ready?…TEENAGERS, was “It wasn’t the kind of book I thought it was and found it very interesting and a really big help.” They actually put down their Xbox controllers and read it in a few days and talked about it! I wish I had had someone give it to me at graduation as I’ve had considerable seed money come my way and had to learn Old School without good family guidance. I think this is a the first MUST BOOK I’ve ever endorsed. ... show more
