Features

  • Natural & Organic MaterialYou will receive 2pcs coconut fibre bricks, 7.8 x 3.9 x 1.97 inch/brick, which are made from natural coconut fibre that is odourless, retains humidity well and also enhances the temperature of the aquarium while stimulating the natural digging and burrowing behaviour of small animals, providing a cleaner and healthier living environment for reptiles, amphibians and invertebrates.
  • Odour and Waste AbsorberAll-natural terrarium substrate breaks down liquids, water and waste sufficiently, while absorbing odours, making indoor tanks smell fresher and look cleaner, far better than wood shavings, stone or other inferior alternatives, helping to maintain a long-lasting and healthy environment.
  • Biodegradable & CompostableOur coconut fibre substrate is a natural, organic and non-polluting material that is biodegradable and compostable, you can completely dispose of it outside in your garden area or backyard and also use it as a fertiliser for flowers, potted plants and other plants, enabling resource reuse and being very friendly to the environment.
  • Easy to Use & StoreThese coco bricks are compressed and dense. Just soak the brick in water, coco coir will instantly and easily soak up water and expand into a clean, fluffy substrate. Our Coconut husk fiber is a great substrate for any reptile or amphibian that needs a substrate / bedding that can retain moisture.

  • Very good product.
Color: 6 Pack
Easy to use, one brick makes about 2.5 gallons of medium. The moisture loving reptiles love it. They dig and burrow through it and seem to have fewer shed problems. Can be thrown in your planters or potted plants after use or thrown in the organic waste bin.

  • Value for your money

Much cheaper than buying it in a local pet store - works just as well.

  • Decent product but check for small plastic pieces
Color: 2 Pack
It’s good quality substrate but I found 6 small white and yellow pieces of plastic when I was preparing it so be aware.

  • Does what it needs to do BUT
Color: 2 Pack
It’s a good substrate and easy to work with however as I was breaking one of the bricks down I found a couple pieces of plastic and two pieces of metal as well. I’m using this as a bottom layer for my terrarium so it won’t have direct contact with my snake luckily but that was alarming to see if this is the only substrate you’re using. ... show more

  • It does what you need it to do!
Color: 2 Pack
I utilized these blocks of coco coir as terrarium substrate as well as for germinating seeds and as an additive in soil mixes. It performed exactly the way I expected and needed it to. (I have encountered bad coco coir, so from my experience this is NOT a given.) I did not find any pieces of plastic or metal, as others have reported. I found it to have the right balance of smooth and fibrous particles. It seemed to be on the denser side, as far as coir goes, but with mixing it “fluffed” up enough to provide adequate aeration for my plants. I gave this product 4 stars simply because of the price. Ordering coco coir online is always more expensive than picking it up locally. With that in mind I think the price point is fair, as this product is comparable to others you can find at a similar, or even higher, price point. To me, however, overall cost does matter - but if convenience matters more to you, this product is a solid option! ... show more
