Was very pleased with my purchase. My son loves his saxophone. The reeds and mouthpiece are kind of flimsy, but they most definitely get the job done for a beginner. Later on, I’ll invest in more reeds and maybe a sturdier mouthpiece. My son is very happy with his red saxophone. He also received compliments from his instructor. I purchased this sax for my own personal use. I was looking for a decent quality instrument to learn how to play the sax on. As far as looks. the instrument is a beautiful instrument. But as far as functionality i have found several flaws in this instrument. To begin with, the part of the curved tube that connects to the the straight part. There was a large air hole at the connection where the clamp is. Also the screw that threads in to the clamp was cross threaded. The clamp was put on crooked. This made the instrument hard to play. The reeds where very low quality. I think the price was slightly higher then it should have been for the quality of this instrument. It would have been nice to have a tuner instead of the gloves. The cleaning and care kit was a nice addition to a beginners instrument. But a slightly better quality mouth piece would have also been a nice addition as well. Over all its not a bad instrument if you know how to do some minor repairs and add a few upgrades yourself. ... show more

Plays just as well as the one we rented from h&h. Maybe son loves the case he can take it to and from school on the bus. He doesn't worry about someone else picking up his instrument because it's unique. I like not having to buy all the accessories separately.
