The media could not be loaded. Works great in my ASUS ROG Strix B550-F. My motherboard is known to be fussy about RAM and XMP, so I'm delighted that it works. I received one 16GB stick as a free review sample, and I purchased a second matching stick to make a 32GB set. Again, no problems. My other two sticks are Corsiar Vengeance (2x16GB), 3200MHz CL16. My PC is an older pre-built computer so I was a little worried the upgrade wouldn't be compatible, but it was super simple plug and play. I have an older HP computer that needed more DDR4 RAM, and this RAM did the trick. The RGB on the ram looks good and has a soft glow. Due to PC limitations, I can't run the RAM at full speed, but it runs at the maximum my PC allows, and it has made quite a difference. I have been using the PC with the installed RAM for the last few weeks and have not experienced any issues. DRAM is a commodity. The variables that differentiate them are speed, reliability and price. The speed is as specified and the price is very favorable. The last variable that can not be known is how long it will last--which for DRAM, is usually beyond the useful life of the CPU.

I read the description and saw that it called this a kit, so I was under the impression it was 2x 8GB, but its 1x 16GB. This is on me for not looking at the item listing closer. That being said, the price is on par with other equivalent sticks. I ended up using it in an old Lenovo business class machine with a 7th gen Intel core i5 to upgrade the single 8GB DDR4-2400 stick it had. Kind of a waste for the RGB since you can't see it, but interestingly enough, it can be controlled on that computer via OpenRGB. Speaking of OpenRGB, I also tried the stick on my main desktop and was able to control the LEDs on Linux Mint with OpenRGB. (FWIW, The Lenovo it is going to live in is running Windows 11.) Not exactly sure who this kit is for, enthusiasts will go for faster ones, office users don't need or want the RGB lighting, but at least you're getting what was advertised. I used this to bump up an older family member's Windows machine and it works just fine, no dramas or config issues which is exactly what's needed in this case. Even if the DIMM itself is a noname brand the chips are Samsung which is pretty much all that matters for a module like this, but you can get better-known modules for the same price. ... show more

RAM is as RAM does. No idea if this'll stand the test of time, and in truth my rig isn't ideal for it. But it goes in and it runs, and that's the first hurdle cleared. Do keep in mind that you can't just plug any old RAM stick into any old motherboard and expect it to magic away any problems you might be having, and it *is* ideal to use specific combinations (with identical speeds and sizes and whatnot) to get the most out of a given RAM component. This being just one stick of 16 GB at a higher speed than my two 8 GB sticks, it can indeed run on my rig, but isn't wholly compatible with the existing parts, so I don't really see the full benefits of it myself.
