They are very sturdy and fold up conveniently so they don't take up much space. This is the second time I purchased these bags. I still have two of the original three I bought years ago which still perform exceptionally well. I "lost" one because I loaned it to someone and they never gave it back! These are very sturdy and fit a lot of groceries. So much better than the paper bags that you have to now pay $.05 each for at the grocery stores. Just put them inside of your cart, open and start filling them up. And easy to carry using the handles.

Wanting to do my tiny part to reduce plastic waste, I've been bringing my own grocery bags for a long time. But what a pain. They were saggy and lacked durability, never fitting in the little plastic bag carousel at self-checkout stands. I studied numerous options on Amazon before ordering these. They're perfect. They fold and unfold easily and, importantly, have a fold down bottom that keeps them upright while you're filling them. I live on the third floor of a building with no elevator and two of these will hold nearly all my groceries. Have recommended them to my daughter and would buy them again. These are nice bags - sturdy, hold a lot and easy to use. My only complaint (and four-star rating) is that they aren't the easiest to clean. I would have preferred a smooth, vinyl-type inside flooring (bottom of the bag) that would have been easier to wipe off and clean. As they are now, the inside flooring is the same as the outside - a tight, waffle-type weave fabric (that reminds me of Pellon for those of us who sew.) These grocery bags are great. The most important feature is that they stay open by themselves. This makes them very useful for people with dexterity or other mobility struggles. Once unfolded, they stay put and you can load and unload with both hands concentrating on the items and not having to dedicate one hand to the bag. They seem very sturdy and durable. There are many choices for these types of bags on Amazon, and many at lower price points, but the reviews for these are accurate and they are worth every dollar. These bags have been a life saver. I absolutely hate the build up of plastic bags and had been hunting for the perfect solution. I found it in this. When not in use, it doesn’t take up space. When it’s in use, it doesn’t lose its shape and keeps things secure while I’m driving or carrying the bags around. They also hold drink carriers from fast food restaurants and since it doesn’t collapse while in use it can easily keep your food and drink secure until it’s time to enjoy it.
