  • pretty cool
This is so fun! There are hundreds are games from back in the day. I just played Dr Mario lol. The screen is super small and people who remember Dr Mario are at the age where eye sight is not as good as it used to be, so a bigger screen would be nice. It comes with a cord to connect it to the tv so you could make the game bigger in that way. The directions leave much to be desired but it isn't difficult to figure out. ... show more

  • Neat
I collect miniatures and I’m obsessed with small video game consoles and small things like that. This mini game is perfect, it’s retro, it haves a variety of games, it’s color, and you can sync more than the one controller it comes with. I already had one just like it, but it was brown, I dropped it and it broke, but the controller was still good. And now I have 2 controllers for this game and the kids have a blast when I plug it in to the tv so they can play together ... show more

  • Very fun but received unit has some issues
This little game console is awesome! Tons of retro games and if you buy a second controller you can play two player games. The battery arrangement is a little weird. On one side there is a slot for two batteries but is only wired for one. And that one battery is the only one that will work. I tried six others and none worked. On the other side is a slot for four batteries but the lid is clearly missing the metal contacts so they just sit in there and do nothing. However, you can just plug it in to usb and power it that way instead. It does come with a micro usb cable. I believe the included A/V cable is bad because when I plugged it in to my TV, the video scrolls. Sound works just fine but video scrolls and there is no setting to fix that. Other than that, this little console is awesome. My kids absolutely love retro games and this is perfect for them because they can take it anywhere we go. Manufacturer, if you read this review, please either send me a new unit or just the replacement A/V cable and four battery slot lid with the metal contacts attached. ... show more

  • Exceeded my Expectations!
The media could not be loaded. First off, it's hard to judge the difficulty level for any age, because no matter how old the person is that plays the games on here, they are going to find easy games and hard games. Probably mostly difficult games though, as that's just how they were back then. I've only played a few of them but there are some actual classics in here, and they won't necessarily have the same title as the actual games had. The picture I provided for the Ninja Turtles on the regular Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) shows a clear downside though... All of the text seems to be in a foreign language. Which is no big deal to me because I never liked that one that much anyway. I always liked the multiplayer arcade style Ninja Turtles and if that's on here, I just haven't found it. Some of the classic games I have found are: Super Mario Bros, Dr Mario, that original Mario Bros with the POW block on the ground level, that Ninja Turtles game from the NES, Street Fighter VI 12 (whatever that means) from 1996, and probably many more that I just haven't found yet. My favorite game that I've found so far is the original Double Dragon from the NES. NOT the arcade version. The console Nintendo version. Anyone who remembers that version should quickly recognize it in the video I uploaded. Well, as for the amount of games, there does seem to be 308 of them. They are broken down into six sections: Adventure - 36 games Fighting - 39 games Sports - 25 games Shooting - 42 games Racing - 23 games Puzzle - 143 games Sure, there are a lot of better video game assortments out there, but this one ain't that bad considering it's cost. ... show more

  • Check your TV before buying
I mistakenly thought my ROKU TV had an AV input port (with both the yellow and red plugs), but sadly it doesn't. This is my fault of course for not checking, but as a result, I can only use this with the tiny screen that it comes with. All the same, the game selection is great, and I'm hoping I can find a cheap TV to play them all on a larger screen. I don't think some of these games were ever released in the US ("Mario 6" for example), so you might be in for a few surprises. ... show more

  • Love this thing!
I was a bit skeptical on how this would operate, if at all and I was pleasantly surprised and even a little shocked. All you have to do is put batteries in the "TV" part and the controller and it's ready to go. Turning the bottom knob switches it on and adjusts the volume and then it brings you to a screen where the games are categorized. Some games have typos and some are renamed so it takes a bit to find what you're looking for but I found my favorites - tetris and Mario - so I'm happy. It's been awesome to have on long car rides and even looks cute on the shelf when it isn't in use. I think everyone born in the 80s and 90s should have one of these! It's one of the coolest things I've ever gotten from Amazon. ... show more

  • Takes me back to my childhood
This game is so easy to play. You just took it up to your TV and turn it on. And it has so many games to choose from like Super Mario Bros. I love it it really takes me back to being a kid and playing Nintendo.

  • Can't dispute there is hours of fun here!
No matter the type of games you like this will provide hours of fun over and over! Hmm where to start? OK the retro design easily reminds me of childhood! They even added an effect that old tvs had its so cool. plus your given an av cable to hook to your own TV. Sadly its a proprietary cable so don't lose it. The controller has no lag as far as I can tell. It is wireless and uses batteries 2aaa. There are alot of mediocre games but you get many classics as well! Contra, mario, tnmnt,,space invaders, and many more. I feel it's worth 40 and it goes on sale for 30 alot! Oh this 8s for those who never had tube TV. The bottom know turns the TV on and controls the volume hope you enjoy it! One more tip my battery compartment didn't say how batteries go in. So the trick I use is positive always goes opposite of the spring! ... show more
