When I say interesting, I mean yes there are 500 games but boy half these games are sooooo random and um interesting 😂 Weird remakes of classics like super Mario, and other popular games, but also some of them are weirdly entertaining as well! No the screen isn’t super fancy, the sound isn’t the best, the thing is super lightweight and probably wont last. But honestly if you’re looking for something that isn’t too expensive and entertaining on those days you just wanna veg out and chill, then this is a pretty good product for that. It does bring back a bit of nostalgia if you were a 90s kid like me and its even more fun for that reason. Love playing baby donkey kong again 💗 I think its worth the buy, but again if you’re looking for great graphics and sound, and amazing games, you’re not going to get that with this console. It’s made for retro game playing and nostalgic gameplay. It is a small unit with a small screen, so you may not have the best game experience, especially if you are used to larger, more modern games. But, if you want that old-time feel and “lag,”, this is the console for you. It worked straight out of the box and was easy to set up. It has a huge assortment of games and you will have hours of fun remembering how older classic games worked. There is not much guidance on the ins and outs of the rules, so you may need to look up some details and strategies for playing. I love the variety of games that are on this system. It is nice that I am able to play with another person, so as a two player, on a large tv screen. I will say the down side I have with this little hand held is the size of the screen. Depending on which game I am playing, the characters are very little and hard to tell what they are doing. I was almost looking for a magnifying glass to see what was going on. A larger screen would make this product much better. The unit is a good replica of our favorite handheld color game console in the late 90s, with a few good and not-so-bad differences – given today’s technologies. The good: 1). It comes with a rechargeable but replaceable lithium-polymer battery. Old color ‘GB” utilized two (2) AA batteries or power (AC to 3V DC) adapters. 2). It doesn’t require expensive game cartridges. The 500 built-in games are more than enough. 3). Although it’s smaller & lighter than the original, it has a slightly bigger 3.0” color LCD screen. 4). The set has all cables for charging and connecting it to your TV (composite A/V only), plus a mini handheld controller for two (2) player gameplay. It comes without a power adapter, but it is not a big deal as USB outlets (or adapters) are ubiquitous in most houses. 5). The set is incredibly affordable - literally, a bargain! The bad: 1). Charging the unit still makes do via USB-micro A. USB-C is the better choice. 2). Unlike the original ‘GB,’ there is no audio jack for headphones – which makes it a distraction for others while playing in public areas like airports or public transport stations. 3). The plastic case looks more brittle than the original and would more easily break when accidentally dropped on paved surfaces. Overall, the set is a bargain if you want to re-relive the days when once upon a time, you were up all day playing your favorite games on this color handheld game console – that you can stow in your pocket. ... show more

Pretty typical "x games in one" type toys. It's a big pile of ROMs with more than a few duplicates in there. 100% certain they don't have permissions for Contra or Super Mario 3 but they're in there and they work fine. It's cheap feeling, but surprisingly functional. The menu song also slaps harder than it has any right to. I don't think I have a TV with the connectors to support that, but for what it is, it's fine. Plenty to keep a kiddo occupied on a long car journey or two at the very least. ... show more
