So this is a good, solid leash with a great long length. The only issue for me is that when you push the button down to stop the leash from being able to be pulled longer, it automatically engages the locking mechanism. I use the button to let my dogs know that they are as far away as they should get from me, and to encourage them to return (I have deaf senior dogs). The fact that every time I push the button and give a little tug to get them turned the right direction, the leash locks and goes limp, allowing said dog to stop any progress they were making toward me and again head to the end of the line. It drives me crazy- push button and give little tug, then unlock the lock and have the leash go "zip" and go back to retracting, thus scaring the elderly dog. Push the button again and give a little pull to let him know to come back, and again it locks, unlocking it scares him and we do this over and over. I don't have two hands to manage the dang leash and I can not imagine why this design decision was made when there already is a locking option that is easy to engage with your thumb after pushing down the button. ... show more

I am disabled so I cannot walk my puppy too far. . With this I can stay in my porch a d he gets to walk pretty far and I can control until where. He is happy I am happy. Is not as sturdy but it hasn't broken on me.

I'm not eager to write negative reviews, but this product lasted only two months. I opened it and found the center rod broken after the cord suddenly stopped retracting. That center rod piece should be metal, not plastic.

I prefer these corded leashes. They seem to move smoothly and don’t get tangled. This one is nice and long too! It’s heavier than others I’ve had but not in a bad way. The stop trigger works easily. Probably will be easier for my 8 year old that the old slide up and down one we had. Overall I really like it. Great value!
