These bands work well, i like that there are so many options. I used them for arms and legs. I have not used many resistance bands, but these ones seemed to do the trick and worked well. Overall, I would recommend them.

Just as the title says, I got these to help me do some workouts in my apartment after work everyday, and for the most part I like them. They get the job done, and the resistance is exactly as described. I struggle with the highest resistance level! However, they like to roll. To the point where I’m working out and they roll and I have to stop what I’m doing and adjust. The elasticity and durability in these bands are really great. They go by how much weight you wish to add and they can be used among all age groups which is great. I actually let my great aunt use them and she really enjoyed it. She said that she felt the difference afterwards. I love that they're a great add to my workout. I highly recommend these because there's so many great exercises and stretches that you can do to strengthen your core with these bands and I'm getting the maximum use out of them. These are great exercise bands. I just had a total knee replacement and ordered these to use for my at home physical therapy. I love that I can work up to the different weight levels as I progress in my workouts. I am disappointed that there were no instructions included in my order, so I have no idea how to work these into a whole body workouts in the future. I am getting great results on my knee for now, so I do recommend these exercise bands for your home fitness or therapy sessions. ... show more

Rating: 5 (actually 4.5) These resistance bands arrived in a clean, white box, sealed with ordinary cellophane tape. There are 5 colorful loop bands in the box, rated generally by resistance: x-light, light, medium, heavy and x-heavy. The markings are easily read on each band. Like most resistance band sets, the exact strength is not indicated (as they might be for dumbbells, for example) There are a number of exercises available for them, similar to dumbbell exercises. These exercises are easily found online. Happily, the manufacturer also provided a very handy dandy ‘operation guide’ as well, with 8 well demonstrated exercises, just to start the new user on the way to a program. I have never used resistance bands before, but I have been hit in the face with the business end of a bungie cord/hook combo that I used to secure my luggage one fine year many moons ago! Given that rather unhappy experience, I wanted to make sure these bands, which I think are made of rubber, would be able to stand up to the stretching. I tried the seated bicep curl exercise for this review, which involves basically looping the band of choice around the feet and then pulling up with the arms, wrist upward. Being a weakling, I could not do much with the x-heavy band, so I tried out the x-light. I could indeed pull up the x-light band and stretch the band as far as it could go. My face survived! It did not snap apart and the band ‘endured’ the entire length of the stretch, and then returned to its original, resting position, without any difficulty. I tried a couple of other exercises, briefly, and did feel a bit of a workout burn from them! I think the bands will make a good adjunct to existing physical equipment. I think muscles are worked a little differently than dumbbells or barbells provide. The bands are, of course, highly portable, and so would be good to carry for travel when one must travel light. They will most definitely ‘power up’ bodyweight type exercises, and possibly even some yoga moves-which mostly uses bodyweight and balance. Not to mention physical therapy, for which, guided by the therapist, they would be very useful in recovery. I have to give a slight ding to the odor of the bands and so my rating is 4.5 rather than 5. When unboxed, there was a strong smell of rubber, similar to a bag of rubber bands. This is not surprising. However, I’ve had the bands open to the air now for over half an hour and I think the odor is decreasing somewhat, enough so that it would not bother me to use the bands more intensely. I’m hopeful that they will air further, however, as I am a little sensitive to the smell of rubber. ... show more

    • Basic, Effective, & Well Priced!
This is a pretty basic set of resistance bands. They're standard as far as stretch goes, I suspect over time they will wear out just the same. For the price though you really can't go wrong. These are very affordable for every income level and great for ordering multiple sets to gift or keep in multiple locations. Definitely less expensive than dumbbells or weights for that matter and similar results can be achieved if used correctly. This set in particular comes with 5 bands of resistance ranging from extra light, light, medium, heavy, and extra heavy. Lots of exercise videos online for beginners all the way to advanced using resistance bands and these come with a user friendly exercise guide with illustrations as well. Great for at home workouts when you don't have time for the gym, excellent choice for beginners, and perfect for traveling as they don't take up very much space at all and will even fit into most handbags!
