It took a little finise to get the air bubbles out of the bottom of the chess pieces but once you squish them before filling them, it works great. The only downside is that the little stand portion of the chess pieces broke on one of them quite easily.

The mold is actually really good, the pieces are a little tough to remove, but I actually figured they would be. my only complaint is that I was missing one pawn mold. I tried to contact the seller on but I can seem to figure out how to do this. Other than that I was very pleased.

My grandson loves chess, so I decided to make this set for his birthday using his school colors. Nice thick molds and had no issues with demolding, even without using any release product. I found that the best way to eliminate air bubbles in the chess pieces was to fill them slightly more than half way, then squeeze them all around before filling completely, or in my case, filling to the bottom bands and allowing for partial curing before adding the bottom color. I don't usually leave review, but there seemed to be a lot of negative reviews about this product. I used a silicone release spray and while the pieces were a bit of work to take out of the molds, everything came out perfectly. The molds are in perfect condition. I would recommend to future users to use the a release spray, and when taking the pieces out of the molds, pull backwards (flipping it inside out) and limit how much you pull away sideways. I think this is where the majority of the product damage came from. Also, make sure that your resin is fully cured, not just set, as it can be sticky until then and possibly damage the molds. ... show more

It's not level it does not lay flat 😒 there is a dent n the mold lost money on this because of this imperfection the mold was folded in the box.

nice chess mold set, make sure to get the bubbles out of the chess pieces when pouring in the resin. I missed a couple when I was pulling the molds off, and the top of the piece's stayed in the mold.

This was so much fun to put together. This was my first board and I feel like it turned out very well. It’s so beautiful. I would suggest spraying some release spray into the chess pieces and working it down into the end for easier removal. Can not wait to make another one.
