Having played and completed RE4 on 3 systems, including VR on Oculus Quest, which was an amazing exoerience -- this is indeed the ultimate version of RE4 that we needed. The changes they added, this almost feels like a brand new installment. The new environments, enemy re-skins and just the graphics in general are stunning. Most of all, after my experience on the Oculus which I loved, then RE Villiage on the PSVR2, I couldn't wait to revisit this remake in VR. Let me tell you, this is such an amazing VR experience and the re team at Capcom did a flawless job. I'm about 4 hours in and absolutely loving my VR journey. The game play is incredible!     • Better than the original in every way possible!
I played the original game before going into the remake. While the original is amazing in its own ways, there's just something about RE4 remake that does everything the original does... but better! One thing I want to make clear: the gameplay for this game was INSANE and AWESOME. This is what action-survival horror is SUPPOSED to feel like and it's perfect. The RE engine is the best it's ever looked with this game and sometimes you'll fool yourself into thinking you are watching a live-action movie! The story is VASTLY improved here as well. No longer are important character motivations or story details regulated to optional documents laying around like in the original! Each character (minus Saddler sadly) is given WAAAY more to do and say. Krasuer no longer feels like a one-dimensional villain and you actually learn why he hates Leon and why he's out to kill his former partner. Luis is given an amazing character arch and Ashley actually has a lot of emotional moments that help you relate with her and grows the relationship between her and Leon the same way The Last of Us does with Joel and Ellie. There's an emotional moment in the game in which a specific character dies (no spoilers of course) and it actually got me really emotional. This game has the best voice acting in the entire series, everyone does a FANTASTIC job. I also recommend staying till the end credits after finishing the game. 10/10 this game is phenomenal! Resident Evil 4 back with updated graphics, improved gameplay, new features, and the same old game we know and love! It’s an amazing experience and highly suggest you get yourself a copy!

    • Good remake - Region locked DLC
Very good remake, although I prefer the original, I can say without a doubt they can coexist with each other since the strength of one is the weakness of the other, it really just comes down to preference. But BUYER BEWARE what region CD you get, I got a UK version without even noticing. The main issue came up when I bought DLC with my North American account, but because the base game is from another region I can’t use the DLC because it’s region-locked. Tough luck for me, but a caution tale for anyone looking into buying any dlc! ... show more
