    • Just what my fat lizard needed.
We had a generic $5 cricket keeper it sucked. It wasn't easy to clean. It wasn't easy to access anything. I had to get the crickets out by hand. I have a problem with that. I love my lizard. I decided to upgrade to this particular combo item. I didn't realize that. Calcium was a needed thing on crickets and thusly I had learned. It's so easy to give the earthquake shuffle to the crickets after being inside. Locking mechanism on the Shaker makes it so that we're not dumping a whole bunch of calcium inside of the cage after shaking them around. The little square tubes at the crickets can go in and hide make my life so much easier. Pulling one out, shaking it into the shaker and calling it good. The little trays in there to feed it is amazing. All and all the quality of this is exactly what I needed to be a better lizard keeper. Or a cricket keeper? I'm not sure. ... show more

This was OK, but I really wish it would have like a manual how to fix this and put it together.It took me a little while but after I did it was great for the crickets.

This is a lot better than what I thought it would be. I would definitely recommend this to everyone as it makes it easier to dust crickets and other insects. I would definitely recommend this. I would say get two

The media could not be loaded. It’s a decent size and comes with everything pictured. The calcium duster is interesting and hold the calcium in the bottom and you could open and close the screen in the middle to easily allow calcium to be dusted onto bugs that are in the higher chamber. What I don’t like is the little tabs that supposed to swivel up and down to insert the square tubes up top. I find that when attempting to open them, they just completely fall out instead of swiveling up and down and better quality pieces would have made this work as intended. The actual tank is the same quality as the ones you find in pet stores, plastic and definitely seems like it could shatter, but not as much as glass. It’s relatively light weight. Overall, the value you get from all the pieces outweighs the minor flaws and I still think it’s a great item. I just leaves 3 cents shut up top and a single tube with a cap on it (included) inserted at all times. ... show more

The tank is large enough for 50 crickets, which is how many I usually get. It’s easy to assemble and clean. The tubes are great for capturing the crickets. They include little water bowls. The calcium coater works great. Excellent combo deal!

This keeper is working well. It's easy to pull one of the rods and get a couple crickets out during feeding time. The dishes work well and are shallow so they don't get stuck in them. So far It's the easiest way I've ever had for holding feeders.

    • REPTI ZOO Reptile Cricket Keeper - I don't like this one.
I like to keep my crickets watered and fed. This has the little door on the top but my hand doesn't fit to get the sponges wet and the little food dish in without it falling over. I need to remove the top and this is where it becomes a problem. The tubes fall out if you don't have another person available to hold the top up just enough so you can refresh the food dish and rewet the sponges. The first time I tried this two tubes fell out and I had about 15 crickets to catch. I also find the smoked acrylic makes it hard to see if there are crickets in the tubes. I am going back to using my old cricket keeper that is similar to this but the tubes are in the cage itself and not in the top of the cage. ... show more
