Really good umbrella that is small enough to fit in a bag when closed. Like the automatic close feature which is great when coming indoors again. Quickly closes it so you’re not blocking everyone especially at store entrances. It’s small which they are perfectly clear about the size. Enough coverage for one person in no wind. This is an excellent product that is small snd fairly light - can easily be packed and is perfect for travel. Note that the fabric sleeve that it slips into is a tight fit, so be careful handling that - it may be a weak point in terms of durability (although that does not affect the durability of the actual umbrella). I love the size of this umbrella (compact handle with large nylon “hood.” I haven’t used it enough yet, but with its venting, I’m hoping it’ll be more protective and durable when there’s windswept rain! So far so good!

I bought this umbrella in 2017 and took it on countless trips around the world in super rainy destinations. Thailand, Taiwan, Japan, Singapore, Hong Kong, Switzerland, Iceland, Seattle, Canada, basically many classically wet and windy cities. It never blew out on me or broke. The ribs to this day are still holding in place and the button open/close still works as normal. I surprisingly never lost it despite it's small travel friendly size. What did stop working after all these years though is the water repellant cover. After many storms and being rained on, the cover was no longer repelling water and after 10-15 minutes of being rained on I would be soaked. I searched for many other umbrellas but couldn't find any in a similar price point that had all the same features. I kept finding either similar sized umbrellas with only 6 ribs (seriously, how did they fit 9 on here?) or smaller ones without auto open/close. Finally I noticed the company had a lifetime guarantee. Certainly, I thought, there was no way I could actually get a replacement. My umbrella was over 7 years old and still looked functional, but I decided to try my luck anyway. I sent repel an email explaining the situation and with some pictures. Lo and behold within a few hours someone emailed me back saying that shouldn't have happened, that they stick by their products and they would be shipping me a new one. I could not believe how quick and low hassle their customer service was. Within 3 days I was holding my brand new repel umbrella, didn't even have to pay for shipping costs. WOW! Safe to say they have a customer for life in me. I will be recommending repel umbrellas to all my friends and family. Awesome company, I love any company that is willing to stand by their products like that! ... show more

Legitimately the best umbrella I’ve ever used by far — easy to open, sturdy, doesn’t flip inside out in windy conditions (never had an umbrella that stands up to wind before). I also discovered almost a year after purchasing a 2-pack that one of them had a small defect, and within two hours of me emailing, their customer support team submitted a replacement order. This umbrella served me well for five years. When it finally broke (one of the spines broke as I was opening it), I tested out the hassle-free lifetime warranty with an email and photo to customer support requesting a replacement. Sure enough, later that day they sent a reply saying that the replacement was on its way, which I received a couple days later! My only reservation is that on preliminary testing, this replacement umbrella requires noticeably more force when closing it, specifically at the end when pulling the umbrella into the base. Still, it doesn't seem to be a deal breaker, and again, the customer service was top-notch. ... show more
