  • Great game and not too bad to learn.

Highly recommend for TF fans. Lots of fun Easter eggs throughout the game. The game feels a lot like dominion to me. If rules are tricky, watch a video. There are many that are helpful. The game is very interesting and lots can happen. Looking forward to playing more!

  • Excelente deckbuilding

muy buen deckbuilding, lo más interesante es que sus expansiones añaden jugabilidad, pero el juego actualmente es muy sólido (tanto en modo cooperativo como competitivo), y las ilustraciones son muy buenas

I really wanted to love this game! I love Transformers and was bummed when Wizards of the Coast canceled the Trading Card Game. But hey, I love deck building games. So would this game be the replacement in my heart? First we will start with the good. THE GOOD: -This game does have some nice things going for it. The artwork is in general very good. -I like the selection of Transformers. The game plays fast as well. And surprisingly is great single player as well. You move around a matrix revealing cards which you can add to your deck, or it might be Decepticons you can defeat. THE BAD: -The fact that the matrix is random is kind of annoying. You might be able to build up your deck, or you might hit a boss early that puts you on a death clock. -The rulebook. My goodness. This is probably one of the worst rulebooks I have ever read. It seems simple enough until you are looking for an answer for a question. Have fun with that! -Wonky rules when it comes to multiplayer. As good as the solo game is multiplayer is kind of a hot mess. You can play co-op or semi competitive. Umm. Yeah that's a problem. Co-op is ok. It makes the game laughably easy sometimes. But competitive is kind of confusing. And annoying. Sometimes you are forced to chose between winning or you all losing. So no win situation. BOTTOM LINE: -Pass. This game has some memorable ideas. And it gets a few things right. But there is just too much things it gets wrong to give it a pass. Maybe when the expansion where you get to play as the Decepticons comes out it will make the game better. But until then it feels kind of half baked. I say don't spend your money. There are much better games out there. ... show more

  • Good game for TF fans who like a bit of complexity.
Style: Base Game
I wasn't really sure what to expect of a deck builder as this was my first, but I've been wading into board games with increasing complexity. I went in on this purely out of love for the TF franchise and chose to ignore a fair number of negative reviews out there. My first game (solo w/ 2 bots) was intimidating at first and the comments in some of the other reviews began to haunt me. This all went away after a few turns though, and my 8 y/o has been able to get the gist after watching a few turns. I will likely have to check on the rule book periodically, and I'm ok with that. Maybe I'm blinded by my love for TF, but the game is great fun, does an awesome job of capturing (mostly) G1 TF, and I'm already considering the expansions to play as decepticreeps and dinobots in the near future! ... show more

  • The rules are a hot mess

I was so excited to purchase this game. I adore transformers, and live deck-building games. But I cannot make it through the rule book without pulling my hair out. Even how to play video guides are confounding.
