This is such a good straightener. I didnt wanna buy some expensive one so i got this and its great for the price! It heats up REALLY fast. I grabbed it for the first time after turning it on and was shocked at how hot it already was. I love that its thin and lightweight. I've had no issues. I wish the buttons werent right where i hold it though because I accidently press them, but every straightener I've ever had is like that unfortunately. I also wish the display light up so i could see it better but either way it works great ... show more

I'm here writing this review after my straightener finally died. I bought it in 2017 and used it regularly with no issues. I preferred it to higher end straighteners I have tried over the years. Doesn't tug at hair and gets it super straight and silky. The plates don't press together as tightly as I would like but it gets the job done on my super wavy hair. 7 years of use for an $18 straightener is pretty impressive if you ask me. Bought this to replace an older hair tool. I have naturally curly hair that is harder to style when it’s shorter. This flat iron works very well in my curls - only need a couple of passes to get it straight. I also sometimes use it to curl my hair when I want more beachy waves. Definitely recommend!
