The Remington Pro 1" Multi-styler with twist & Curl technology features unique twisted plates that guide hair to set bouncy curls, beach waves, or straight styles. The new and improved smooth glide design delivers a smooth glide as you style. It's perfect for color treated hair thanks to the heat control sensor, which prevents overheating for less damage and color fading. The ceramic titanium plates heat up fast to create a smooth glide. Find the heat you prefer for your hair type with easy- to-use digital controls and a range of five heat settings from 300 Degree to 450 Degree. Damage to color vs. Standard Remington straightener. IMPORTANT: To prevent accidental temperature changing, the temp control can be locked by twisting the dial all the way to the left and holding for 2 seconds (the lock symbol will appear on the display). When ready to unlock, you must again twist the dial all the way to the left and hold for 2 seconds. (The lock symbol will disappear and the temp control will work normally.) Use 300°F - 340°F (150°C - 170°C) for Thin/fine, damaged or bleached hair; Use 340°F - 410°F (170°C - 210°C) for Normal, healthy hair; Use 410°F - 450°F (210°C - 230°C) for Thick and difficult-to-style hair. For waves: Twist 180° and glide down. For curls: Twist and glide slowly. For straight: Glide without twisting.

    • If I can get curls, you can definitely get curls!
I know ZERO about styling hair, and I mean ZERO. I have given up on curling my hair because A) I have no idea what Im doing B) if something isn’t quick and easy in my routine, I bag it and C) my hair resists being curled. After one use, I was able to get curls!!! I blew my own mind. This has NEVER happened to my hair without the involvement of a professional.     • Ok for straightening, not for curling.
It's ok, but hard to avoid getting a flat part at the end of the curl. Had to go over each piece several times to get to get the ends to curl, rather than "bend". I ended up going back to my old curved straightener that is easier to handle and makes a better curl.

    • Looks easy but it’s tricky to use
As a girl who is very low maintenance with her hair (doesn’t even brush it), I was looking for a tool that I could easily use to style my hair on the rare occasion that it’s necessary or when I just wanna do something different. After watching videos on how to properly use it I thought I could figure it out pretty easily. Unfortunately it was hard for me to figure out how to get nice curls or even waves. My hair is pin straight so I thought that may be the reason or because I really don’t even know how to do my hair but after a while I found a tip that helps keep the hair clamped. Holding the curler pointing down while twisting it the whole way down seems to make a pretty nice curl and if you want it to be curlier just hold it in place a little longer before twisting down. My main issue was having my hair come loose and not staying clamped and also it pulling hairs out. I wish I could return it but I used it twice. It will fry your hair if you are not extremely careful. The temperature control is in an awkward location and I accidentally turned the dial and increased the temperature while twisting the iron to create curls. I damaged my hair then and another time because I used a temperature that was in the mid-range and it was too hot. Even if I practice with it, I doubt I will like the results. The curl or wave that you get is kind of crimped and ratty looking at the ends. Plus, it would take quite a bit of time and effort to curl or wave my whole head. ... show more
