I didn’t expect much but thought I’d give it a try since I only needed it for yarn organization. After putting it together I went to move it into its place and the entire thing crumbled. I used the little wooden mallet to male sure all the rods were n place and gave it a little test shake before moving and it seemed sturdy enough. I was even willing to take it apart and try one more time until I went to pull the metal rods that didn’t fall out apart and they wouldnt budge. I used the mallet to hammer it in the others direction and when the metal rods popped out it gouged a flap of skin off my thumb. I bled for hours. This is not worth it. Sadly, I won’t be risking any more digits to pull it apart to return it so I am just out the money. Terrible quality and damn near a consumer hazard.     • Good for light items, crafts, shoes, etc. Not ideal for books and general storage

For it's price it's a decent solution for sorting things like shoes, purses, light craft items, tubs of decorations, etc. But it's not sturdy enough or flat enough to reliably store books or other items of real weight. My main complaint is the "floor" of each cubicle - the photos on the ad show plants and other such items on there - but in reality, the base is a piece of cloth stretched across the 4 poles. Items like small vases sag between the poles and fall over. If you want to add the expense of putting 1/8" plywood or plastic panels under the cloth it might work, but otherwise, you're limited to tubs or larger flat items that can span the poles without leaning. On the plus side, It is easy to assemble and is light enough to move by hand when completely built, and if you buy more than one, you can add them together to make one large rack. On the negative, I wouldn't trust it with the advertised 33 lbs. in every cube (totaling almost 600 lbs.). It's not a bad product, it's just not made to be a bookshelf or store heavy things, so choose accordingly. ... show more

I bought 2 sets, one for my 11 year old and one for my son in college and then I used some left over pieces for one in my closet They both like them, was easy to put together and to change if needed Light weight but sturdy
