I bought this as a gift for a 1yo and I’m about to purchase another for my own child. This is just the right size to sit between a little one’s legs and doesn’t require any special technique to produce beautiful tones. This is also highly durable, considering the other toys that are sometimes used in place of the mallets! This little thing sounds great! Clear as a bell. Nice volume, nice tone. Too small to play with fingers though. When I try it seems it plays multiple notes at the same time like the vibration carries over to the other tongues. Even the rings they give you don’t make it work.
