Doesn't work. There is no spearment flavor AT ALL! It smells like french onion soup that's been left out in the open for weeks. Don't waste your money.

I am an advocate for mushroom consumption, as a food and as a healthful supplement. This 'tea' features Lions Mane Mushroom, which studies indicate potential health benefits for immune systems, cardiovascular systems, cognitive/neurological systems, focus and mental acuity. So, it's impressive to have 1.7 grams of Lions Mane Mushroom Extract per serving. In addition to the health benefits from Lions Mane Mushrooms, this 'tea' adds Neumentix, a spearmint extract. Combined, they offer a potent cognitive boost. "Lion's Mane is a powerful nootropic used for focus, memory support and cognitive function. Neumentix is a clinically studied spearmint extract for improving focus and concentration. Together, this powerful blend is everything you need to revitalize your focus and get stuff done all day long." I usually have an afternoon cup of coffee, where I add some mushroom powders. Today, I opted to have this tea. I really enjoyed the taste/flavor of this tea concoction. It seemed a touch sweet for my tastes, though. But, a 10 calorie beverage, with 0 grams of sugar and no added sugars is okay by me. (Organic Monk Fruit Extract is used as an alternative sweetener.) After drinking about 1/4 of the tea, I did boost it with more mushroom powders (assorted healthful mushrooms, bulk powder form). I did this, not because of the taste of the tea, but my habit of consuming certain quantities of select mushroom powders. I will note that the significant other said she liked the taste of the Focus Tea before I added my other ingredients. And, she said she'll make a mug of the Focus Tea tomorrow when she has to resume tackling her taxes. So, that's an endorsement of sorts for the product. The media could not be loaded. I love mushrooms and hot teas, so this is the most perfect item for my taste. It has a very pleasant aroma, and it taste delicious. As a side note: I use Monk Fruit, for a sweetener, for my diabetic Uncle because it is the closest to sugar I've tasted. So, this is a great diabetic tea choice. Back to the Review - I will say, if you wait to make this hot tea when entering the mid day slump, it will not work. I tried it the first day, when I started getting sleepy, and all it did was warm me up, make me feel cozy all over, and basically gave me the "feel goods". It never gave me any focus or help keep me alert. I still felt like I needed to take a nap. However, if you drink it an hour before your known slump time, it works like a charm! Today, I did just that. Drank one hour before the slump, and I was focused and working away the rest of the day. In fact, I felt so good, I even baked a large chocolate cake to go with dinner.     • It tastes good with a teaspoon of sugar.
I’ll start off my mentioning the taste. To me, it smelled a little funny at first but it tastes fine. It tastes basically like mint tea but it tasted better after I put a teaspoon of sugar in it. My husband however didn’t know notice this tea having any funny smells and liked it right away. I’m surprised because he’s the most picky person I know. It might be too soon to say that this tea gave me amazing focus. I know Lions mane can take up to two weeks to start noticing a major difference. I also read that spearmint also helps with learning memory and concentration as well. Some people feel their concentration improves pretty quickly after using spearmint. In my experience, I don’t know if gave me perfect focus but I did get a lot of my programming done with little error. That was the first day I used it. That proceeded to the next day when I used it again. It’s enough for me to want to continue drinking this tea along with lions mane and spearmint’s other health benefits. ... show more

    • Taste was.... not great. Energy - yes.
I would like to say if you can get past the flavor it gives you energy and focus, however I was not able to get past the flavor. I've had many energy drinks that try to cover the flavor of the ingredients that supply the energy. This also attempts to cover the flavor and there is almost a fruity flavor hidden underneath the rest of it, but the citrus-y goodness is very hard to pick out from rest of the bad flavors. I was unable to finish my drink and needed to pour it in the sink. (The sink displayed no more or less energy nor focus.) My associate also tried it. He tried watering it down so the flavor wasn't quite as strong and was able to drink the diluted tea but did not like it. He said that he prefers regular tea for flavor and focus. ... show more
