I have been on auto ship with this product for a few years. I just noticed I’m on my 25th purchase. Yes there has been a few odd batches but it still has the same effect. Every morning I put a dime size chunk on the end of a butter knife and as my coffee pod is dripping, I hold it under the drip and melt it into my coffee. Gives it a nice bold earthy flavor. This is authentic Altai mumijo. It's a glossy resin with the consistency of pitch and a slightly bitter vegetal-mineral taste that is unpleasant but tolerable—and distinctively different from the Himalayan shilajit I've tried, which tasted more like heavily roasted coffee/chocolate. The product dissolves very quickly in warm water and passes the burn test (turns into ash when put under a lighter) which means it's pure and undiluted. I also shot an email to the company requesting lab analysis reports and they got back to me within 24 hours with two reports from different labs—one was just a contaminants lab analysis, the other had a comprehensive list with levels of detected metals. ... show more

I’ve been purchasing Shilajit for the past 5-10 years. This is my favorite brand and form (resin) to purchase. In general, Shilajit offers me and my son’s increased energy and raises our chi (sex energy). The current jar I received was softer with a higher viscosity than my previous jars. We prefer to roll our Shilajit into small pea sized balls and take them like “pills”. This batch also had a slightly different flavor. I was more salty than bitter and smoky. I reached out to the company to give them my feedback and to inquire if this was normal. They quickly responded and informed me that the variations I noted were normal because different batches come from different mountains. Then they went “above and beyond”. They researched the batch I previously received and offered to send a new jar of it to me FREE OF CHARGE. I quickly accepted their offer. Once I sent them my address, they (Natasha) confirmed that they would be sending 2 additional jars of Shilajit. One from a previous original batch and another from their “newest” batch for me to compare. Again, I was pleasantly surprised by their generous and uncommon offer.     • Hands down the best shilajit I tasted in so many years
Just got mine today…WOW, WOW, WOW! Hands down the best shilajit I tasted in so many years, maybe in my whole life. After searching for this pure and true character in so many shops, paper ads and online resources, this is by far the most superior and true product. Surprisingly cheap though (they only recently appeared on Amazon). I remember its earthy and a bit spicy taste and smoky aroma since childhood (for those new to shilajit– the taste and smell may seem unpleasant, so mix it with milk and keep it in the fridge – I mix it with purified water). This one seems to have been processed exactly right – very small amount of deposit on the bottom (as far as I know it is a long and complicated process to extract it from the rocks). I use the remaining deposit on the bottom to water dying plants – it gives them a second life like no other fertilizer. Will use on my ginseng plantation. I am 15 + years herbalist and recommend shilajit to those after surgery (its rich mineral content regenerates tissues, heals wounds). If you suffer from nosebleeds, dissolve a drop of shilajit in water and put in each nostril – in less than a week the problem will be gone. I heard though you love shilajit only if you tried it in early age. Then it becomes part of your memories and you develop an understanding for complicated and diverse tastes and aromas. The price for shilajit remains low these days despite its rarity. This one comes from Mongolia, I understand, a remote non industriazed part of the planet, where it was maturing for hundreds of years… Just think about it.. Tears of the rocks as our Indians called it since ancient times. Sometimes I just take a small amount and let it melt in my mouth (normally works for a sore throat) to simply enjoy the tingling feeling of shilajit. For those new to shilajit, take a tiny bit with milk just for endurance, sharp intelligence and overall outstanding health. I take it after workouts and with herbal teas since shilajit enhances the effect of anything you are taking.     • Don't buy it.
This stuff is thicker than asphalt, I can't hardly dig it out. I tried to return it and they won't allow it to be returned. I had to put some rating before I could post this. I give this a -5 stars. I have used a different brand over the last couple of years, but this one is bad.

    • Bad Batch????
I’ve bought this brand multiple times and it’s usually good, until my most recent order showed up and it’s HORRIBLE! It smells and tastes like used, burnt cooking oil and is very runny. I’ve noticed other recent reviews mentioning horrible taste (even for shilajit), so maybe they had a bad batch that had some contaminants fall in or something? This is the first time it’s been bad like this so hopefully the producers figure it out before it’s too late. I’d suggest NOT buying this product until there are more recent reviews saying that it’s back to normal, there are many more brands of shilajit to try. Even though this product isn’t available for return, I was able to get a refund because it’s defective. I left 3 stars because it’s been good before and only had this bad batch once, but this particular batch is worth 0 stars. ... show more
