  • Great for thinning oil paints.
Size: 16.9 Fl Oz (Pack of 1)
Works good if you want your oil paint to flow better. I had a little Windsor Newton Liquin Original medium and that helps the paint dry quicker.

  • Alkali refined and affordable--perfect for oil painting.
Size: 16.9 Fl Oz (Pack of 1)
A perfect, inexpensive linseed oil for oil painting, the Gambling Refined Linseed Oil is exactly what you need if you're doing art work. Linseed oil is made from flax seeds, and it's easy to get confused as several oil products are produced. The raw linseed oil is fine for funiture finishing, but it's terrible for oil painting due to the impurities in it. For painting purposes, alkali refined and cold-pressed linseed oils are the best choices. They will add gloss and transparency to colors, thin paints and slow drying time depending on the amount used. Stand oil is linseed oil that has been heated without air to simulate oil that has been out for several days. It works best on the top layers rather than as an all-around oil. As a beginner, I knew nothing of this when I started and I would have gladly bought a bunch of cheap, raw linseed oil without knowing what I was doing. Now though, I know to buy the refined linseed oil. Indeed, this brand is what my art school sells me (in smaller, more expensive bottles). This oil has been working fine in my oil painting. It thins the paint, slows drying time as expected, and doesn't have any obvious impurities. It's also the most affordable refined linseed oil I have seen, either online or in stores. This makes it an easy recommendation for me. ... show more

  • Best brush cleaner for oil painters
Size: 33.8 Fl Oz (Pack of 1)
Get rid of turps and other solvent based brush cleaners that destroy the bristles. Just wipe off excess pigment with a shop towel, clean remaining paint off the bristles using linseed oil, then wash with Murphy’s oil soap and rinse well. Your brushes will last much longer with linseed oil.

  • A good medium, could do with a better cap to avoid leakage.
Size: 16.9 Fl Oz (Pack of 1)
Overall a good Linseed medium for newcomers to Oil Painting, or students taking an Oil Painting course. Also suffices as a glazing medium as actual glazing medium can cost quite a bit more per fluid ounce. The only downside I ran into with this product was the safety cap leaking several times over the past 3 months, and left quite a mess to clean up in my toolkit. Would recommend finding a vessel that can produce a better seal, preferably something that uses rubber or neoprene to seal the lid. ... show more

  • Linseed Oil
Size: 16.9 Fl Oz (Pack of 1)
This is what I used before. Good quality linseed oil for oil-painting and the price is quite reasonable. The actual color of this oil is more of clear yellow than the greenish tint as the picture shows.
