    • Great smelling diffuser, but I wish it were a little stronger

I'm particularly sensitive to smells - which is ironic, given that we also have two dogs. So we're fairly consistent about cleaning and keeping things like plug-ins or essential oils in use. These caught my eye because of the nice minimal packaging and the solid product description. This actually seems like it's a genuine boutique shop that makes and distributes these. And that's important because this product category is difficult to stand out in. First, I'll say that the scent is excellent. There is definitely a warmth to the vanilla scent and it's not overly strong. I followed the instructions of putting the diffuser sticks into the oil for a few minutes and then turning them over so that the oil-soaked sides were outside. Within another few minutes, the smell started to filter throughout the room. However, it smells good enough that I'm actually a little disappointed that the smell doesn't permeate the room further. It's a fairly small bottle...and it actually says that you should use it in a smaller space like a bathroom or a smaller bedroom. I've placed this in our master bedroom and it's like one small space in the room has this fantastic smell, but it drops off fairly quickly. So keep that in mind - if you're wanting this to fill a larger space, you're definitely going to have to pony up and buy a larger size. All of this said, I'm not totally sure that the small size and small coverage make this worth the price; it's fairly pricey. If it lasts as long as it says, it'd probably be worth it. ... show more

After giving the reeds time to soak I walked into my half-bath where I placed the diffuser on a shelf higher up on the wall, to avoid anyone accidentally knocking it over, and I was hit with the Juniper Pine scent immediately. I was impressed with how subtle, yet distinguishable the scent is. Even when I pass by the bathroom I get delicate wafts of pine, and once I step inside I am surrounded by the fragrance without it being overpowering or overbearing. I did try moving the diffuser to a larger area in the hopes that it would fill the room up with the pine scent, but the scent was barely recognizable and got lost the further I stepped away from the diffuser. While I wish the oil was a little more potent and capable of diffusing in a larger space, this reed diffuser does a nice job encompassing smaller spaces with its lovely scent. ... show more

I'm a bachelor, so I'd rather light a candle or get a diffuser to cover up scents rather than 'clean' or 'do laundry.' Who has time for that when there's sports to watch and games to play! So I got this diffuser set for my bathroom in order to freshen it up a bit. My thoughts: What you'll like: - Natural scent. This doesn't smell like fresh-cut pine, it's more of a pine forest after a heavy thunderstorm scent. I find this much nicer than the pungent PineSol scent so common in most juniper/pine/xmas scented items. - Sleek, stylish bottle. The bottle itself and the dark colored reeds are attractive and fit most any décor. - Easy open, easy use. The cap unscrews, the reeds get inserted. No funny filter caps, no muss, no fuss. What you may find lacking: - The bottle is small. The box looks like it can hold a full 1L bottle. The actual item is a tiny glass container about the size of an herb shaker. I have this in my bathroom and I've rather pleased. My only concern is how small this is for the price, and how long it will last (or not last) because of that. 4/5 star. ... show more

Even like a whole week after opening this and setting it up, I kept getting confused by the scent, thinking it was my fiancé’s cologne and wondering why he had used so much of it. Then I knocked it over and spilled it all over the bathroom floor. Because of that event, idk how fair this review can be because it was a very unpleasant experience. The diffuser arrived well padded and free from defect. The black glass bottle went well with my bathroom decor and looked expensive. I like black reeds because you don’t see the oil stains on the reeds like you do the natural color. I love the scent, it is fresh but woodsy. Strong enough that you smell it but not overpowering. I don’t have anything negative to say but I hope it lasts a long time with a $25 price tag. ... show more

This is my first experience with reed diffusers, they remind me a lot of old school incense sticks without the smoke. With this introductory package I got a small, heavy bottle-type container of the scented oil and eight sticks. I'm not entirely sure how you're supposed to do it but I just put all the sticks in at once (soaked them, then flipped them for a quicker reaction). It took a little while for me to notice that it was working (I put the bottle in my utility room at first then moved it up on a high shelf in the bathroom). The aroma is nice, not too intense or overpowering, and the particular scent I got is a little like a mild pine with just a touch of something similar to a clean linen smell. I like this a lot, it seems a little pricey but if it lasts for two or three months then it's well worth it. ... show more

Maybe it's just me, but I assumed all oils with sticks in them would be a little more attractive. This one does have a manly aroma, so it would bring a bachelor pad up a notch. Because those places stink!
