I must confess I initially felt this was a dumb accesory for my road bike. The kind of thing only obsessive fanatics buy. I am happy to report I was dead wrong, this is among my top 10 accessories I've put on my rig and I cannot imagine not having it any more. I've been riding road bikes for 35 years and only found out these exist recently. I saw it on a Youtube video on the Cade Media channel. At $40 it seems a bit expensive, but I know Redshift makes unique, high-quality, but expensive products. I unwrapped my bar tape back to the brake hoods, installed these, and rewrapped the tape. The tape stopped about one inch further away from the stem than before. Redshift also sells extra long tape which would solve this problem. If you like riding on the tops of your bars, these make it twice as comfortable. It's that simple. Now I'm going to buy a set for my touring bike. Worth every penny. ... show more

These grips make riding much more comfortable. I debated about getting some gel pads but liked the idea of having something that I know will keep its form for a long time. I didn't have any issues with the install and wrapped with handlebar tape. Nice and ergonomic now.

These grips provide alternative hand positioning and really helped relieve numbness in my fingers. Also it improves bike handling by allowing me to safely shift hand positions and easily maintain control of the bike on rough roads. I usually never ride in the drops as I am older, but I find this improves grip and handling and allows me to do so. They look a bit clunky and you need the long bar tape to wrap. But overall I highly recommend if you are having hand comfort issues. ... show more

I put this on PNW drop bars. Both the top position and drop position are much more comfortable. I think installation was simple-enough. Overall drop bar installation is a lot of work. Definitely worth it! I'm really thankful for these. PNW drop bars lowers are shorter (hand in the drop position). As such, the grips do benefit you while in the drop position with a finger on the brake levers. This also made the lower grip ride around the curve a bit. Before the grip tape was installed it didn't seat great on the curve. After the additional thickness for the 1/2" of overlap, the grip followed the curve great, tight the whole way. ... show more

Just installed these grips on my stock Kona Libre yesterday. Instructions are well written and the grips are easy to install. First ride with the new grips was awesome! No numbness in my hands at all with more positions of comfort for my hand on the bars. I wish I would have installed these sooner!
