  • Good quality but some individual models are a bit...teitchy.
Color: Black Wireless
Very nice keyboard; it both looks AND feels like a quality product. Pros: - Decent switches. - Volume roller is actually really nice. - Remembers up to 3 separate Bluetooth devices, plus has 2.4 GHz WiFI (dongle) and wired (USB-C) modes. - Lots of modes for the RGB lighting, as well as the ability do define key colors per-key (although not with animated effects). - Good typing feel. Caveat: I bought this keyboard after seeing a friend's purchase of the same model; his key switches are uniformly *more sensitive* than mine (a negative). My keyboard feels "just about right", his feels...a bit twitchy. I'm attributing this to a different lot of switches, considering it's uniform, for both keyboards (none of my switches feel "twitchy" lol). - Metal construction; very little flex for such a thin, low-profile keyboard. - Simply looks good. Cons: - As mentioned above, and in some other reviews here, some individual models are apparently a bit over-sensitive, altho (in my buddy's case) certainly not unusable. He likes his Horus just fine, actually, but it took him a while to stop pressing extra keys accidentally. - Keycaps come off just a bit too easily. My cat found this out, and likes to play with them if I leave it out =x . They can also get caught on things in my backpack and pull off pretty easily, as well. - No way to define/eliminate timeouts when wireless. This is annoying but tolerable for lighting, but is especially bad for actual typing =/ . Not a dealbreaker for me, but YMMV. All in all, I like the Horus quite well, but I also lucked out with (apparently) a better batch of switches. My typing "feel" is significantly better than my friend's, in my opinion, with the same keyboard model, so while consistent *across an individual keyboard*, two otherwise identical keyboards may feel decidedly different. Nonetheless, quality is high, overall, and even my buddy's more-sensitive version works pretty well (once he got used to it). ... show more

  • Basically a newer and better version of the logitech 915
Color: Black Wireless
This is basically a newer, better version of the logitech 915 and much cheaper at less than half the price. Ive had this for 3-4 months now and this is a solid wireless mechanical keyboard. Its a low profile keyboard with a thin and compact frame. The red keys are thinner than regular keys and does not have that loud clicky sound from other switches. Red switchs also have lower activation force so its easier to type with. The usb and bluetooth mode works fine and i have no problems with connectivity. The onboard macro is also easy to record stuff and use. I dont have any use for it and havent used it except for initial testing. There are a number of RGB light configurations and lightshows that you can use but i find rgb annoying and have it turned off. The battery will last about a month or so without having to recharge it. This is assuming you have RGB lights turned off. The keyboard is quick to wake up but there will be a slight lag the first time you use it. It uses the USB C standard which is one of the main reasons i chose this keyboard instead of the logitech one. The Logitech 915 still uses the old micro usb port and is using older technology. I dont like carrying around two types of cables. It has dedicated media controls and a volume wheel. However, there is NO MUTE button. This is my main gripe with the keyboard and i found having no mute button was kid of misleading since one of those button looked like the mute button. I actually emailed reddragon about this, basically just to complain and ask if there was a way to mute. They gave me some kind of work around with software and a hot key combination. The hotkey combination can then be set to one of the macros g1-g5 buttons. I didnt like that method. Instead, i just rebinded my pause key to mute volume with the red dragon software. That works for me because i dont use the pause button for anything. Anyway, their customer service is solid and responsive. THey emailed me back within a day and sometimes within hours in the middle of the night. In conclusion, this is a solid keyboard. It works great. Its wireless, has great battery life and is cheap for the features you are getting. ... show more
