These Red Night Lights (4 Pack), are easy to use - they just plug into any outlet, and they work great. They provide a nice low red light, that helps me to see, but won't disturb anyone who's asleep. They're dimmable, and can turn on/off on their own via it's dusk till dawn sensor. Overall, I think it's a great value pack. They look nice, work great, and are versatile too - as they've many uses. They're well made, designed, and I especially like that they've only the red light, because it's supposed to be much better to use at night. THE REVIEW IS FOR THE BLUE VERSION . AMAZON'S SYSTEM INSISTS ON DEFAULTING TO RED VERSION WHICH I'D PREVIOUSLY REVIEWED: So these are not the icy blue sleep disruptors I’d feared they’d be. I’ve put them in a front hall where I see only the glow from around the corner rather than the light itself, and it just seems to be a cool white light at that angle and distance. I probably won’t have them in my bed or bath rooms, though they could serve that purpose. The low profile keeps away snagging concerns in tight hallways, and the price for a four pack is economical. I’ll spare you the semi-useful pictures since other reviews have tried, but be assured it guides your path for up to a yard in any direction. I knocked off a star since they suffer from the same flaw every light sensing nightlight I’ve tried has so far. They don’t shut off in even slightly dim areas during the day. Also, there’s no “off” position to even shut them down manually. You’d have to pull them from the outlet daily if that bugs you, though LEDs use only a trickle charge. ... show more

I recently learned about the important of light and its impact on our health, which launched me to replace my night time bulbs with red lights. I have a hallway in my house where I have no lamps and only overhead lights. I didn't want to replace the overheads with red bulbs nor did I want to introduce any lamps in this dark hallway. And then I found these outlet lights! THEY ARE AWESOME. They easily plug into an outlet, and as soon as the sensor is in the dark, the red lights turn on. It is the coolest thing ever. They light up the hallway enough for us to navigate without turning on the bright lights. I am so happy! These are very nice night lights. The light sensor works well, turning it on and off as it gets dark and light in the morning (or if a light is turned on). It is bright at the highest setting so it is easy to navigate a room (particularly for house guests that are not familiar with the layout of the home). But they are about an inch thick. An inch is not terrible, but it is thicker than some others. So if you plug them in a high traffic area, they will stick out of the wall and could get bumped. ... show more

This is a good nightlight if you on't want the blue colored light shining and waking you up at night. The light is still bright enough to where I think it's better for a hallway or bathroom than in the bedroom itself. There is a switch on the light that shows no indication of what it is, but on inspection it turned out to be switching between two different intensities of brightness. Up to this point I've been a strong fan of the Casper nightlights because of their good indirect brightness and medium-warm color temp, but boy are they pricey. For the cost of ONE of those lights I was able to pick up these 4 to help light up a couple of the remaining rooms in the house. Color-wise they are a very, very warm amber -- reminds me of the days in the photography darkroom at school. I am undecided yet whether I like these more or less than the brighter but cooler Casper lights, but they're great for preserving night vision and are dim enough that they're not going to blind you when you get up (I've had to unplug the Caspers a couple times because I can't sleep with them in the same room). Operation is very simple, flip the on switch and plug in, the light sensor does the rest. Considering their flush mount profile and strategic balance of color+brightness, I'd say these are the best you could do for the price. Definitely worth picking up. ... show more
