This night light is perfect for the bathroom (on the lowest setting). It doesn't disturb our sleep, but does provide enough dim light to help us navigate in the dark. I tried using it in the hallway, but even on the highest setting, it didn't provide enough light for someone coming up the stairs. Bought these hoping that the adjustable brightness settings would allow just a faint glow for navigating a bedroom safely in the dark. Even on the dim setting, these give off more light than most would want in a room used for sleeping. With the auto on/off, they work well in the common areas of the house, but, in a bedroom, just too much light on any setting for photo sensitive sleepers.
