Good solid bracket but had the same experience as several other reviewers - the bracket does not open far enough for my A & E awning. It took me about 40 minutes using a Dremel to grind down the catch far enough for it to fit. The bracket does hold the awning arm pin just fine once it clears the catch which would suggest that a slight alteration in design would make this unit more universal. ... show more

The old style bracket for Dometic awnings can't be found anywhere. It took about an hour and a half each and the bigger Dremel cutoff wheels and I was able to make these for the older Dometic awnings. These brackets are pretty solid and they fit the existing mounting holes almost perfectly. Very happy with this purchase over having to buy a whole new awning. ... show more

I had to grind away a small corner to accommodate an existing rivet, so it would lay flat, but the holes were close to the original and it worked well
