The review by Timothy Blum has a wide selection of images of this particular product so there is little value in regurgitating similar ones here. What can be said it that the lighting is stable and does not flicker, twitch or buzz. The various light color temperature settings provide light from quite yellow at the 2700K setting to a cold, crisp, but not too blue, white light at the 5000K position. The top of the unit remains only slightly warm after hours of being on at the 4000K setting. Be aware of local codes regarding the possible requirement to attach each metal junction box to building structure. Some areas may allow the box to float if it is used during a remodel. Also, the margin of error for the mounting hole is very slim noting the narrow gasket on the underside of the trim ring and the overall diameter of the light housing compared to the circumference of the trim ring. Use of a properly sized hole saw is really the best way to go here. One advantage of these lights I found is that they are so thin that you can even have the mounting hole partially over a ceiling joist and still mount the unit correctly. This may allow placement for correct light illumination in a section of a room where it otherwise could not be accommodated. ... show more

Have those older, smaller type flat faced glass bulbs with the extra trims for them? Well these will be perfect for you then as a great degrade. I don't care much for those older can lights that appears to be every bugs hangout and cemetery. You take down the trims and lamps and a couple dozen dried up bugs all drop onto you or your face if you are unlucky. There is a reprieve with these though! If you have cleared out of all of the old fixtures, but left the wiring intact from them still in the space above the ceiling then your job is almost complete. The install is very easy: Choose a romex connector knockout hole to use and install the connector and shove the wires into the box. Make your connections, close up the box and choose the light warmth or temp selector switch that the new fixture will emit. Connect the lamp to the connector from power box, make sure to align the pins in the correct orientation. Hold back the two spring and with care install the trim into the hole on the ceiling. The trim should fit completely flat against the ceiling...this helps in keeping the bug count down of them bouncing off your face. These are great for dimmers and home automation. ... show more

These color selectable lamps are easy to install in existing installations and match the lamp color characteristics. Theu seem to dim at the same rate also, an important feature. The illumination is even, no flicker, color fringing, or hotspots. The ultra-thin body is easy to use, and the springs are strong. They are IC approved, and have the color selection switch in the metal J-Box. Both of those things are important. The metal J-Box is required for safety, and the switch is an install and forget about it feature. Some selectable lamps have remotes to select color. That remote will be long gone when the lamp decides to forget it’s color selection. I’ve learned this. These lamps are actually being installed in the outside eaves of my home for accent lighting and wall wash as well as security lights. I can leave them dimmed low as a wall wash, and if a camera or sensor picks up movement, they can be set full on. For such applications, the lamps have to be reliable, and a good value. These Auderwin lamps seem to fit that specification. ... show more

These lights are awesome and compared to having to deal with a whole bulky housing they are so convenient. The lights are the perfect brightness for their size and the install is a breeze. I just cut a 4 1/8” hole with my hole saw, fish the wire, and connect them. I prefer the 2700k option for my living room but it is nice to be able to have other colors for areas like bathrooms and closets where 3000k might be more suitable. These lights are easy to install with the provided clips. The built in junction box is nice as you don't need to put a plastic box in the ceiling to contain your connections. These are plenty bright, and dimmable so you can set to whatever your desired brightness is.

A good, basic recessed light with multiple temperatures for the white light. If you have the power in the ceiling, this is an easy install. You can also install if you had some existing recessed lights. What you will end up with is a bright warm lights that are dimmable.

Typical installation with a 6.14" installation hole. Template was missing but not a big deal. Came with basic instructions and ready for wire nut or electrical block style (included) installation. 50,000 hour rated and dimmable. Light quality is good and super easy to switch to any of the 5 colors. After using many of this light type I would say that the build quality of these lights is better than many with metal light housing and ring, good quality junction box and mid quality attachment clips. i would certainly order again. ... show more
