I used these pegs in the garden to hold wire fencing in place. The lighter weight rebar is just right for my application. However, my soil is soft allowing for hand installation. I did not need to use a hammer to pound them in the ground, and I'd be worried that they'd deform/bend if I hit them with a hammer. I ordered a chain link from Lowes. It was also installed by their employees. The material is a low-grade chain link and hot high strength like one would normally expect. The employees did not install a lower tension wire which in turn allowed my dogs to push under the fence. The J Hooks were placed every three feet and now hold the fencing in place.
