This rug is totally NOT washable. Washed it for the first time, and the edging on one side is totally unraveled. False and misleading advertising and product description. Sadly, I'm past the return window, so hoping the seller does the right thing. UPDATE: no response from the seller. Do not buy!!

This rug - which would more accurately be called a mat - is otherwise almost exactly as described. The colors are vivid and as depicted, its surface is soft, almost velvety to the touch, it provides a bit of cushion, and it is very easy to clean. I've only had this for two weeks, but with my [rescue] dogs, I've already had to wash it to remove puke and pee. Results: it came out clean from my large-capacity top-load washer, and I then laid it out on the floor to air-dry, which took about 45 minutes. You can air-dry in the dryer, it says, but I didn't see the need. "Almost exactly as described" refers to its non-slip claim. Interestingly, the rug/mat only slips while you walk on it, as if it's following the twist of your foot. It moves every so slightly. To move it back into position, you have to lift a corner with your toes and move it --if you're talented like me ;) -- or use your hands to do so. The mat is not slippery, so you can't just push it around with your foot. I decided to purchase a few of these MyLife rugs after buying a Ruggable for our living room and not being 100% satisfied due to durability and cost factors. The Ruggable is beautiful and I appreciate the extra cushion underneath, but it's no more beautiful than the MyLife rugs I purchased for other rooms. And this rug came out of the washing machine unchanged, whereas the Ruggable stretched and now has slightly ruffled edges. >> I do wish the MyLife rugs included 6' and 8' rounds, AND 2'x3' sizes. Overall, I am pleased with the product and I will purchase more as needed, without hesitation. I will definitely recommend MyLife rugs to others. ... show more

I bought this as an entry way rug because it looked pretty but mostly because it was washable- as in the washing machine. I live in a forest and muddy shoes and paws have ruined several entry way rugs. It looks lovely by my front door. A few days after the rug arrived my very elderly dog had an accident on it! It has an undetectable rubber backing so the wetness did not go onto the pad or floor. Skeptical, I balled up the rug and threw it into the washer and then the dryer on “no heat”. Came out perfect. We LOVE our new rug runner!! Amazon can be a hit or miss on if things actually show up the way they look online... but this rug was exactly what we wanted. We’ve only had it for 2 days, so I can’t speak on what the quality is like after watching it. The bottom has a good base that keeps the rug from moving, which is great. First off the design is very eye-catching. The colors are true. The blue is stunning. Initially up close I wasn't sure how I would feel about it. Since it isn't the individual sewn rug style. But what it is lacking from a "traditional" rug and how it is made it more than makes up for in the ability to STAY IN PLACE, easy to CLEAN, and looks amazing! I wish all rugs were like this. I have two HUGE dogs and they like to run and jump on rugs. As you can imagine the rug would end up in a mangled mess on the floor. This rug stays put, as is, no extra stickers, padding, etc. It feels good under your feet too. Let me mention ONE MORE TIME, it is so pretty! I keep getting compliments and then I show them the style and people are so surprised. Lastly, no funky smell or weird curl at the end when you first open it. You will LOVE It! ... show more

I was worried this wouldn’t be a true rug texture since it’s washable and was concerned it would be more like a thick sheet with a pattern printed on it. I was wrong. It does look/feel like a real rug. I bought the largest size, so it’s definitely not going to fit into MY washing machine when it comes time to try that. I’m going to avoid it as long as possible. Great looking rug! Even better in person. Wanted it for my kitchen and I wanted something I could wash that was also very cute. Day 2 of owning, I spilled a big blob of sesame oil on it! I was so upset. I stain treated and put it the wash. Came out like new. Would definitely recommend.

I was a little skeptical about how well this rug would handle our Doodles. One of them eat something that didn’t agree with her. We had it for less than a month but because the price was so reasonable I was ready to just write it off as trash. Dowsed it with soapy water then sucked it up with the carpet shampooer and it looks good as new. It doesn’t slide around on my hardwood floors, even when two 70lb dogs rough house on it.
