  • Great perspective and doable approach for the sometimes overwhelmed
This is a great little book that gave some great perspective and advice on organizing your home. I would recommend this book for those that feel stuck or overwhelmed with clutter whether in one room, a drawer or the whole house. If you don’t know where to start then this book will give you the map(info). The book contains example lists, visual solutions and step out of the box no nonsense work arounds. Read it from start to finish...don’t try to skip to visuals or you will likely miss out on your solution and long term cure. On a more personal note, I found the book dealt with “stuff guilt” really well. I needed to hear it/read it. After losing my mother and sister in a pretty close time frame I found myself clinging to items that did not fit in my home. I did not want to let go. It is still tough, but I have some ideas from the book on what and how I might keep what really matters. Overall, I am glad I purchased this kindle book. I chuckled multiple times, had ah ha moments and felt that I could incorporate the information in a dealing with clutter for dummies (doable) way. ... show more

  • Life Changing
I first found this book at a neighborhood "little library". Then I had to return it and buy myself a copy. I have since then given two more copies as gifts. I absolutely am so Thankful for this book. I was living in clutter and did not even see it. ! This book "clicked" for me. Totally inspiring. Totally do-able. Her writing is fab, the pictures are beautiful. I cannot even say how much this book helped me. I took the quiz, found out I am a "butterfly". You don't have to buy a bunch of shelving or cubbys or storage storage storage... the key is knowing what your style is, and starting with intention, very small easy goals... tidy up one Junk Drawer.. give away or throw out what no longer serves you...just 30 minutes a day, do one small area or category. One shelf, one closet, and after that, I was on a roll! I have found so much peace in letting the things Go, even sentimental items, and making it beautiful and calm. It's like a training course to become your own custom interior designer! I love my home now. I picked up some really great habits too like taking just five minutes to tidy up, and really thinking about what things I am tempted to buy but might not even need, and have to de-clutter later on.. I mean. It's bonkers! Thank you Cass!!! ... show more

  • Enjoyable and useful organizing book
This is the most enjoyable organizing book I ever read. It provided practical solutions rather than being prescriptive (only one way to do it). The stories were entertaining without taking over the whole book. (Check spelling though - one of the chapter titles is using ‘your’ instead of ‘you are’ or ‘you’re’. And editor error.) ... show more

  • Super pragmatic and a little therapeutic
Fantastic tips! I’m definitely a messy “butterfly.” Like disaster zone at least once a month (if not more). So I was looking for something that would get me to maintain my home even when I was busy. Thank god I came across this. The tips were very practical and precise. I’m so glad I spent the money and got the hard copy. What pushed it into 5 star category is when she explains her philosophy about cleaning and why it is so important for our well being on a psychological (and arguably spiritual) level. It really hit home for me and now I’m looking at cleaning and daily chores in a positive light now. Which I never thought I would say! ... show more

  • If I wanted a pile I wouldn't need a book LOL
I'm not a young Mom just starting out. I'm an older person with years of bad habits under my belt. If "I" can find something that inspires me as much as this wonderful young woman and her smart, sassy, silly, nurturing, down to earth style then everyone will. I saw myself in her pages just as I've seen myself in her YouTube videos. I've already made big changes and am reaping the benefits.. As we age we might not have the patience or energy on some days to run around like a chicken with our heads cut off trying to find that "whatchathingy" we KNOW we own. We get tired of wasting time finding that bill or coupon or list we KNOW we JUST saw. With the kid years behind us we often yearn for peace and a tidy organized home. Cass knows how we feel and she has an idea how to fix it. No little shrines to your ratty tee shirts, no goodbye notes to your chipped plates . This is a book for those of us who don't have time for that foolishness..we want to live our lives and DO things. In short we want our homes to serve us not the other way around. THANK YOU Cass for putting into words what we know in our hearts, Oh and as final note..the book is pretty and will look lovely on your clean bookshelf ... show more

  • Very good, easy to read, really motivating!
I really liked this book. I downloaded it to my phone and read a few pages whenever I got the chance. This kept me focused on doing little things in my house that I had ignored for years and years. An example was my glass cup cabinet. They were double stacked and would occasionally fall and break. I measured the cabinet, got a twin pack of racks, and doubled the storage of each cabinet. Why did I wait so long!! I'm almost 60 and have a really big house. But that doesn't mean I have space, no kids to make dirt and clutter, or have everything figured out. Besides myself and my husband, we have three adult kids and their pets downstairs; another son and his wife and our youngest grandson who visit for a few days several times a month; and the two older grandkids (all three are 7-10 yrs old) who live down the street popping in almost daily. Sunday lunch after church is 11-14 people. So I really needed this book! My husband also works from home and has a dedicated office, also filled with tools, because we have no garage. I like to see and craft, but never have the time or I can't find what I need. This book has given me the belief that I can get things out in a final spot so that I can have a clean and functioning home. I can't wait to check out her blog 😀 One step at a time!! ... show more
